Beauty and Gorilla King is a tower-climbing instant game from SimplePlay, released on 9 August 2024. There are no reels and no paylines: you climb a skyscraper one floor at a time, uncovering windows, and every safe step raises a multiplier until you either cash out or hit a hunter.

SlotCatalog lists an RTP of 96% and classes the game with the Mines-style titles; no volatility rating or exact maximum win is published. SimplePlay describes six difficulty levels and says that on the hardest one the multiplier is over 900x at the top of the tower. A Tower in the City at Night

The game runs in portrait format. A giant gorilla roars from the top left corner, a full moon hangs over the skyline, and the tower itself is a dark apartment block with a grid of 5 windows on each of 9 floors. Behind each window is either a beauty in a purple dress or an armed hunter.

How a Round Works

You set the bet and the Risk level, press START, and the bottom floor lights up with five question marks. Pick a window: a beauty moves you up one floor and to the next step of the ladder, a hunter ends the round and takes the bet. Once you have made at least one safe pick, the START button turns into Cashout, so you can bank the current multiplier at any floor.

In one round at a 1.50 bet we climbed six floors and the ladder stood at 3.66x, with the win field showing 5.49 – exactly 1.50 × 3.66. In another, at a 2.50 bet, we cashed out after four floors at 2.35x and the game confirmed YOU WIN 2.35x – 5.87.

The Easy Ladder

On the Easy level the ladder we saw ran 1.2x, 1.5x, 1.88x, 2.35x, 2.93x, 3.66x, 4.58x, 5.68x and 7.15x. Each step multiplies the previous one by roughly 1.25.

When a round ended, the game uncovered the whole tower, and on Easy there was exactly one hunter per floor. That gives a four-in-five chance of a safe pick at every step, and the first rung fits it neatly: 1.2x paid with an 80% chance returns 96% of the bet – the same figure as the published RTP. The harder levels put more hunters on each floor, which is where the steeper multipliers come from.

Jackpots and the Treasure Chest

During some climbs a small treasure chest appeared beside the jackpot signs, pointing at the MAJOR. The game did not show us what the chest paid, so we can only say that the three fixed jackpots are linked to it; the MINI, MINOR and MAJOR amounts stayed the same through our session.

The Numbers to Keep in Mind

A 96% return is close to the slot average, and on Easy each floor is a simple 80% decision. The real question in every round is when to stop: the ladder grows slowly at first and faster near the top, but a single hunter wipes out everything that has been built up.
