Devil Fire 2 Overview

Devil Fire 2 is the sequel to TaDa Gaming’s Devil Fire, released on 19 April 2024. It plays on 5 reels and 3 rows with 40 fixed paylines. SlotCatalog lists an RTP of 97.16%, medium volatility, a hit frequency of 25.09% and a maximum win of 14,000x the bet.

The sequel changes the mechanics of the original. Instead of collecting scatters, the game now revolves around a little devil wild that lands in the centre of the grid and collects every coin and jackpot symbol in view. Design and Atmosphere

The game takes place in a hellish treasure vault: rivers of molten gold and lava flow in the background, piles of coins lie at the foot of the reels, and two golden pigs sit on stone pedestals on either side of the grid. The four jackpot values – Grand, Mega, Minor and Mini – are displayed in coloured lettering above the reels and change with the bet. The cheeky red Devil Baby is the star of the show and gets plenty of animation whenever it lands.

Symbols and Paytable

The premium symbols are four devilish items, and the paytable shows their payouts as multiples of the bet:

The card ranks from A down to 9 fill the low end and pay up to 0.5x the bet. Wins pay from left to right on the 40 fixed lines, and because the lines cover the grid densely, a cluster of the same symbol often pays on several lines at once – one of our spins with rings on all five reels of the bottom row paid 180.00 on a 20 bet.

The Devil Baby Wild

The red Devil Baby is the wild. It substitutes for all regular symbols, but not for coins or jackpot symbols, and it can land only in the centre position of the grid – reel 3, middle row. That position makes it part of many paylines at once. More importantly, the wild is the key to every bonus feature in the game.

Coins and Jackpots

Gold coins can land on any reel position, carrying values of 0.5x, 1x or 2x the bet; in our screenshot at a 20 bet they showed 10 and 40. Jackpot symbols can land in the same way. On their own they do nothing, but when the Devil Baby lands in the centre, it collects the value of every coin and jackpot symbol in view.

The four jackpots are fixed multiples of the bet:

Golden Pigs and Free Spins

Every time the Devil Baby lands, it can flip a coin to one of the two Golden Pigs beside the reels, or to both. This is the route into the bonus round: when the feature is triggered, each Golden Pig awards 6 free spins.

During the free spins, a sticky Devil Baby wild stays in the centre position for the whole round. It keeps feeding the Golden Pigs on every spin, so the chances of winning extra free spins increase, and any coin or jackpot symbol that lands is collected immediately.
