El Capy Overview

El Capy is a jungle video slot from Quickspin, released on 8 January 2026. Its star is Capy, a cheerful capybara in a green hat who collects coins instead of fruit. The game plays on a compact 5x3 grid with 5 fixed paylines, and almost everything revolves around one feature: the Blaze Trail 1000 respin round.

The rules give a theoretical payout of 96.15%, rising to 96.79% with the Extra Bet on, and the Buy Feature returns 96.70%. Some casinos run a lower-RTP version, so it is worth checking the game’s info screen where you play. The volatility is rated low, and the maximum win reaches 5,010x the bet.

Theme and Graphics

The reels hang in a wooden frame in a lush rainforest, with palm leaves, purple flowers and misty trees in the background. Capy himself stands to the left of the reels, dancing and cheering on every spin. The symbols are bright and chunky: cherries, plums, a green melon and stylised card letters in jungle colours.

Above the grid runs the Blaze Trail meter, a row of seven slots marked 5x, 10x, 25x, 50x, 100x, 200x and 1000x. The meter is the game’s scoreboard: the further it climbs during the feature, the bigger the multiplier at the end.

How the Paylines Work

With only five lines, El Capy is closer to a classic fruit slot than to a modern ways game. Line wins pay from the leftmost reel to the right, and only the highest win per line is paid. The paytable and the values in it follow your current bet, so you can always read the prizes in cash.

The small number of lines means the base game pays less often than a 20- or 40-line slot. That is a deliberate choice: the real action is meant to come from the Capy symbols and the respin round, not from the line wins.

The El Capy Symbol

The El Capy symbol shows the capybara in a round golden frame, and it can land anywhere on the reels. It does not pay on the lines; its job is to trigger and feed the feature. Three or more El Capy symbols anywhere on the screen start Blaze Trail 1000.

Blaze Trail 1000

When Blaze Trail 1000 starts, all symbols except the El Capy coins are cleared from the reels, and a respin is triggered. Every respin that brings at least one new El Capy symbol awards another respin, and every new El Capy symbol moves the meter up by one step.

When the respins finally run out, the game counts the coins collected and applies the multiplier reached on the meter. The available multipliers are 5x, 10x, 25x, 50x, 100x, 200x and 1000x, so the round can end with anything from a modest prize to a full 1,000x.

The structure is easy to follow: each new capybara is one more step along the trail, and the flames on the meter show exactly how close you are to the next level.

Buy Feature with Boosted Multipliers

The Buy Feature is available in the base game only. For 50x the bet you go straight into Blaze Trail 1000 with at least three El Capy symbols, plus a random Buy Feature multiplier of 2x, 3x or 5x that multiplies every step on the meter:

  • 2x: 10x, 20x, 50x, 100x, 200x, 400x and 2,000x
  • 3x: 15x, 30x, 75x, 150x, 300x, 600x and 3,000x
  • 5x: 25x, 50x, 125x, 250x, 500x, 1,000x and 5,000x

This is where the 5,000x-plus ceiling comes from: only a bought round with the 5x booster can reach the top of the boosted trail. The Buy Feature can also be left switched on, so that every press of the spin button buys a new round until you deactivate it. Its RTP is 96.70%, and it may not be offered in every market.

Extra Bet

The Extra Bet costs 2x your bet and guarantees an El Capy symbol on every spin, which makes Blaze Trail 1000 noticeably easier to trigger. It can be activated in the base game only, it cannot be combined with the Buy Feature, and it raises the theoretical return to 96.79%. Like the buy, it may not be available in every market.

Game Controls

The interface follows the usual Quickspin layout. The total bet is changed from the TOTAL BET display, the spin button starts each round, and tapping the screen stops the reels early where this is allowed. Autoplay can run a chosen number of rounds, and the advanced settings let you set a total loss limit and a single-win limit, so the session stops automatically when either one is reached. A Fast Play button shortens the animations where it is available, which suits a game whose base spins are mostly about waiting for the next capybara.

The paytable, reached through the ‘i’ button, always shows the prizes for your current bet in cash, so you never have to convert line values yourself.

What We Saw on the Reels

We played the demo at a €10.00 total bet. The most striking capture shows Blaze Trail in action: the reels cleared, a capybara coin glowing in the middle, and a large 1000 flashing over the grid as the meter lit up in orange flames. Between features the base game produced regular small wins, such as a €10.00 line that simply returned the stake.

The rhythm is typical of a low-volatility game with one strong feature: short base-game spins and the occasional burst when the third capybara lands.

Who Should Play It

El Capy suits players who like simple rules and a single, easy-to-read bonus. The five-line base game is calm, the capybara is a likeable mascot, and the meter makes every respin feel meaningful. Players chasing the biggest multipliers will want the Buy Feature, while those on a smaller budget can enjoy the low-volatility base game and wait for three capybaras to line up.
