Thorn Forest is a multiplayer shooting game from KA Gaming, released on 30 September 2026. There are no reels and no paylines here: you steer a cannon at the edge of a glowing night forest and fire at the strange creatures that wander across the screen. Every creature you bring down pays a fixed multiple of your shot, the biggest target is a winged forest fairy worth up to 600x, and three elemental spirits can freeze the field, bomb a group of enemies or start a chain reaction. The RTP is 96%, the volatility is medium, and the top prize is 600x the bet.

Pick A Room

The game opens on a dark forest scene full of floating lights, with a mushroom house in the background and three wooden gates in front of you. The text at the bottom says “Please choose a room”. The Bronze room, guarded by a little ice spirit, takes shots from $0.01 to $0.10. The Silver room, with a crackling blue storm creature, covers $0.10 to $1.00. The Gold room, with the fire spirit, runs from $1.00 to $10.00. The room decides your stake range, and because every prize is a multiple of the shot, it also decides how much each creature is worth in money.

The Forest

Once inside, the scenery changes as the game moves through different parts of the woods: a purple stream under a pale moon, and a deep blue swamp with twisted roots and glowing eyes watching from the dark trees. Creatures arrive in flocks. Walking brown wizards in pointed hats, tall thorny plants, red-capped mushroom monsters, snapping flytraps and glowing pumpkins all cross the screen at different speeds, and the big targets appear at the edge with a warning sign that says “Coming”.

Your cannon and the shot value sit at the bottom left, next to the balance. The other seats on the screen read “Waiting for player” until somebody else joins the same hunt, which is how the multiplayer idea works: several people can shoot the same creatures at the same time.

The Big Targets

The paytable gives the biggest creatures a prize range instead of a single value. The winged forest fairy pays 120x to 600x the shot and is the top target of the game. The sunflower girl in her yellow petals pays 80x to 400x. These two are rare, and a hit on either of them is the main reason to keep shooting.

The Rest Of The Paytable

Below them comes a fixed ladder. A pale blue mushroom spirit pays 40x and the wizard in the brown hat 30x. Two thorny plant creatures pay 25x and 20x, and the red-capped mushroom pays 18x. Further down are a sprouting plant at 15x, a one-eyed creature at 13x and two chomping flytraps at 12x and 10x. The pumpkin pays 8x, the small pink bug 5x, the yellow sprout 3x and the round teal puffball 2x, so cheap creatures fill the screen most of the time while the expensive ones turn up only now and then.

Elemental Spirits

Three small elemental spirits do more than pay a prize, and the rules show them with their own cards. Frostelle, the crystal ice spirit, pays 80x, and a win on it stops all enemies on the screen for a short time, which makes every other target easy to hit. Flarelle, the flame spirit, pays 10x and causes a bombing that kills a number of hidden enemies. Voltelle, the blue storm creature, also pays 10x and sets off a chain event that destroys a number of hidden enemies. These are the closest thing the game has to a bonus round.

Weapons And Controls

A small side menu on the left gives access to the game history, the rules and the options, and three round buttons next to the cannon change how you shoot. Auto fires continuously at the enemies on the screen, and Lock keeps shooting at one chosen target until it falls. The Power Weapon switches on the Powerful Bullet: the weapon changes to a stronger attack that finds its target more easily, and each Powerful Bullet costs 6x the bet.

The rules add a few details. A bullet that reaches the edge of the screen bounces back until it hits an enemy, and changing the cannon does not affect bullets already in the air. All wins are multiplied by the total bet, and with the Powerful Bullet the win is still calculated from your selected bet, not from the 6x price of the shot.

What The Shot Value Changes

Because the room and the shot value set the scale, the same creature can mean very different money. The fairy’s top 600x is $6 at the lowest Bronze shot of $0.01, $600 at a $1.00 shot and $6,000 at the Gold maximum of $10. At the same time every bullet costs the full shot value, so Auto fire in the Gold room uses up a balance quickly between the big hits, and the Powerful Bullet makes that faster still.

RTP, Volatility And Max Win

The data box shows an RTP of 96%, and the volatility is rated medium. The maximum prize is 600x the shot, paid by the winged fairy at the top of her range, so the ceiling is modest compared with most slots, but the constant action and the elemental spirits keep the rounds lively.

Who It Is For

Thorn Forest is for players who prefer fast arcade action to spinning reels. The cartoon forest, the elemental spirits and the shared hunting ground give it a friendly fantasy feeling, and the three rooms let you play for cents or for $10 a shot.
