Luck of Panda: Bonus Combo is an Asian-themed slot from NetGame, released on 4 October 2024. It plays on 5 reels and 4 rows with 50 paylines in the base game, and it is built around three bonus pots that sit above the reels and can combine into a single feature.

The reels sit in a narrow red-and-gold frame in front of misty mountains, pine trees and a waterfall. Above them three large pots of gold coins – green, red and purple – carry the names of the three bonus features, and above the pots the four jackpots are displayed in carved plaques.

The symbols follow the theme: red envelopes, a golden teapot, pink lotus blossoms, a yin-yang coin and green bamboo, plus the letters A to 9 for the low values. The WILD is a small panda, and it appears in tall stacks.

The Paytable at 10.00

The red envelope is the top symbol: five on a line pay 40.00 (4x), four pay 6.50 and three pay 2.00.

The four middle symbols – teapot, lotus, yin-yang coin and bamboo – all pay the same: 13.50 (1.35x), 3.50 and 1.50. The six card symbols from A down to 9 share a single line as well: 6.50, 2.00 and 0.50.

These are modest line prizes, which fits the medium-low rating. With 50 lines, though, stacked symbols pay on many lines at once, and that is where the base game wins come from.

Stacked Symbols and the Panda Wild

Stacks are the core of the base game. In our session four red envelopes filled reel 1 and a stack of panda wilds covered reel 2, which paid 25.00 (2.5x). Another spin had 9s down the first three reels with three pandas stacked on reel 2 and returned 33.50 (3.35x).

The best base-game result came from bamboo stacked across the first three reels, which paid 57.00 (5.7x). We also had a spin in which red envelopes covered almost all of reels 1 to 3 – the kind of screen that turns the 40.00 top line prize into a multiple of itself across the 50 lines.

Reading the 50 Lines

The base-game paytable draws all 50 lines on the 5x4 grid. Besides the four straight rows there are V-shapes, zig-zags, steps and long diagonals, so each position on the middle reels is part of a large number of lines at the same time.

That matters because of the stacks. When a full reel of one symbol lands next to a full reel of wilds, almost every line that starts on reel 1 picks up the combination, and a symbol worth only 1.50 for three can add up to several times the bet across the whole screen. That is exactly how our bamboo spin reached 57.00 from a symbol whose best single-line prize is 13.50.

The opposite is also true: without stacks, most spins pay a single three-of-a-kind worth well under the bet. The 19.27% hit frequency means roughly one spin in five returns something, and many of those returns are small.

The Controls

The interface is simple. The balance sits bottom left, the bet with its minus and plus buttons in the centre, and the last win bottom right, with the line count shown as 50 LINES. Three large round buttons on the right handle autoplay, spin and turbo, and the menu on the left opens the paytable, rules and settings.

The Four Jackpots
