9 Coins™ Grand Diamond Edition is a coin-collection game from VoltEnt (Wazdan), released on 5 September 2023. It plays on a 3x3 grid with no regular paylines: the base game exists to land bonus coins, and almost all of the value comes from the Hold the Jackpot round. The RTP is 96.15%, the maximum win is 5,000x, stakes run from 0.20 to 10,000, and like most Wazdan games it lets you set the volatility yourself.

How the Grid Works

Each of the nine positions can hold a coin, a special symbol or nothing at all. Our base-game screenshot at a 10.00 bet shows the mix: a Mini coin worth 100, two 50 coins (one of them a red Cash Infinity coin), a Mystery symbol and a treasure chest, with the other positions empty.

The Four Jackpots

The jackpot panel on the right scales with the stake. At a 10.00 bet it reads:

• Grand – 50,000 (5,000x the bet)
• Major – 500 (50x)
• Minor – 200 (20x)
• Mini – 100 (10x)

The Grand is the 5,000x maximum win, and the Major, Minor and Mini also appear as coins on the grid during the bonus.

Special Symbols

• Cash Out – a coin with a counter on top (“CASH OUT: 7” in our screenshot) that stays in place for a number of spins.
• Cash Infinity – the red coins, which stick to the grid when they land.
• Mystery – a wooden crate that turns into a coin value.
• Treasure chest – a collector that gathers the values of the coins around it; ours showed 120 with an x1 multiplier.

Hold the Jackpot

The bonus round is a classic respin feature. You start with 3 respins, every new coin resets the counter, and the round ends when the respins run out or the grid is full. One of our rounds shows a Major, a 10, a 70 and a 40 coin with the chest collecting 120, and at the end of another round the grid was covered in coins, including Minor, Major and Mini jackpots.

The best finish we recorded was a total of 2,280.00 at a 10.00 base bet – 228x.

Chance Level

The column on the left of the grid is the Chance Level. It can be switched off or set to x2, x4, x6 or x10, and it multiplies the total bet: with a 10.00 base bet and x6 selected, the total bet shown is 60.00. The jackpot values stay tied to the base bet, so a higher level buys more chances at the bonus, not bigger prizes.

Buying the Bonus

The Hold the Jackpot Bonus Game menu offers five versions at a 10.00 bet, each with a different starting set of symbols:

A Bonus Round Step by Step

Two of our screenshots follow a single bonus from the inside. With the counter back at 3 respins, the grid holds a 40 coin, a Major jackpot coin, a 10 and a 70 on the middle row, and the treasure chest on the bottom row showing 120. When the round closes, beams of light run from each coin into the total-win box, the chest adds its collected value, and the Mini jackpot coin that landed next to it is added to the total.

That is the rhythm of the game: coins arrive slowly, each one resets the counter, and the collector and jackpot coins make the difference between a small round and a big one – our best reached 228x.

Bets and Controls

The bet row under the grid offers quick stake buttons (7.00, 8.00, 9.00 and 10.00 in our session) plus a maximum of 10,000.00, which matches the 0.20 to 10,000 range listed on SlotCatalog. The buy button sits on the left of the bet row, and the Chance Level column updates the total bet as soon as you change it.

Guess the Colour

After a bonus win you can gamble it. The “Guess the Colour” screen offers red or black on a face-down card, and the top of the screen shows what is at stake: our 2,280.00 win would have become 4,560.00 (x2) with a correct guess.
