Twin Fruits of Olympus is a video slot from Mascot Gaming, released on 27 July 2021. It combines classic fruit symbols with a Greek mythology setting and pays on 1,024 ways across a 5x4 grid. Its main feature is the Twin Reels, which copy the symbols of one reel onto its neighbour.

Fruit Among the Temple Columns

The reels float in the sky above Mount Olympus. White marble columns rise behind them, the sky is a deep night blue with a light in the distance, and soft clouds drift along the bottom of the screen. The logo in the top left corner reads “Twin Fruits of Olympus” in blue and gold letters.

The fruit symbols are large and glossy: raspberries, bananas, watermelon slices, apples and orange slices. Golden bells, blue sevens and blue stars add a classic touch, and the Olympian gods appear on the reels as well – Zeus with his white beard and a blonde goddess.

How the 1,024 Ways Work

The grid has four rows on each of its five reels, which gives 1,024 bet ways. A win needs matching symbols on adjacent reels, starting from the leftmost reel; the position on each reel does not matter. The rules screen shows an example: a symbol on reels 1, 2 and 3 in any row counts, but a gap on reel 2 breaks the combination. Only the highest win per way is paid, and all 1,024 ways are always active.

Twin Reels

The Twin Reels are the heart of the game. On a spin, two neighbouring reels can be linked and show exactly the same symbols. Because every symbol on the first reel is repeated on the second, a match there counts twice as many ways, and a single spin can pay across dozens of combinations.

Our screenshots show how often this happens. In several spins, reels 2 and 3 were identical, and in one of them, reels 4 and 5 were twinned at the same time. That spin, with orange slices on the first four reels, paid 9.00 on a 1.25 bet, or 7.2x. SlotCatalog’s description says the twins can appear on reels 2 to 5.

Symbols and Payouts

According to the game’s own configuration, the top symbol pays 20x the total bet for five of a kind, 3.6x for four and 1x for three. SlotCatalog names Zeus as the highest-paying symbol. The next two symbols pay 10x and 4.8x the bet for five.

At the minimum bet of 0.25, the paytable in our screenshot showed the bell at 0.75, 0.12 and 0.05 for five, four and three, the bananas at 0.25, 0.10 and 0.03, and the raspberry and watermelon at 0.20, 0.08 and 0.02 each. The three lowest symbols pay 0.10 for five at that bet. All values change in proportion to the selected bet.

The Wild

The wild is a golden crown with the word “Wild” on it. It substitutes for the other symbols to complete ways. In one of our spins, a wild stood on reel 4 while bells, sevens and watermelons lined up on the first reels, and the spin paid 3.50, or 2.8x the bet.

There are no free spins and no bonus round in this game – the wins come from the base game alone, and the Twin Reels are what makes them bigger.
