A Neon Beach at Sunset

The reels sit in a black frame under a red and white Froot Classic logo, with a sunset, palm trees and glowing neon stripes behind them. The symbols are drawn in a glossy, slightly three-dimensional style: a flaming 7, a watermelon slice, grapes, a plum, an orange, a lemon and a pair of cherries.

Winning symbols light up in coloured frames, and a line in the same colour shows which payline paid – yellow for the top row, green for the bottom, purple for the zigzag lines. It is a clean, readable design with no clutter around the grid.

The control bar is equally simple. The balance sits on the left, the bet selector with plus and minus buttons next to it, the win field in the middle and the spin button on the right, with an AUTO button for autoplay. A menu button in the top corner opens the paytable and the payline pages.

The Paytable

The paytable shows cash values for the current bet. At $35 the flaming 7 pays $35,000 for five, $3,500 for four and $700 for three – that is 1,000x, 100x and 20x the total bet.

The watermelon and the grapes pay $3,500, $1,750 and $175 (100x, 50x and 5x). The plum, orange and lemon share a slightly lower line: $3,500, $1,400 and $140. The cherries are the smallest symbol at $875, $350 and $35 – 25x, 10x and 1x.

Every symbol pays for three of a kind or more. There are no wilds, scatters or bonus symbols on the paytable.

The shape of the table is worth a closer look. The step from three to five of a kind is steep for every symbol: the lemon goes from 4x to 100x, and the seven from 20x to 1,000x. Three of a kind is where most wins land, but the fourth and fifth reels are where the real value sits. Four of a kind is the middle step – 40x for the plum, orange and lemon, 50x for the watermelon and grapes, and 100x for the seven.

Five Paylines

The paylines page shows all five lines. Lines 1 to 3 are the three rows, while lines 4 and 5 run in a zigzag: one dips from the top row to the bottom and back, the other does the reverse. The zigzag lines are why a win can appear to climb diagonally across the grid.

With only five lines, each payline is worth a fifth of your stake, and wins are counted from the leftmost reel. A combination has to start on reel 1 – three matching symbols on reels 2 to 4 pay nothing.

What the Session Showed

At $7 per line, the cash values on the paytable are the total for a win on a single line. When two lines pay on the same spin, the amounts are added together.

Our captures match the paytable exactly. Three lemons on the top row paid $140.00, and three watermelons on the bottom row paid $175.00. Four cherries on the zigzag line 4 paid $350.00, and three flaming sevens on a diagonal paid $700.00 – 20x the bet.

The best capture came from four plums on the top row: $1,400.00, or 40x the bet. Another spin combined five grapes across the top with three cherries on the bottom for $3,535.00 – $3,500 plus $35, just over 100x.

Hit Rate and Rhythm

With five lines and seven symbols, wins come often but tend to be small. Most of our paying spins were three of a kind on one line, worth between 1x and 5x the bet – the lemon at 4x and the watermelon at 5x. The bigger results needed four or five matching symbols, and those came far less often. That is the classic rhythm of a five-line fruit slot: steady small returns punctuated by the occasional big line.

Because the paytable is so top-heavy, the balance moves in steps rather than a smooth curve. Our session balance ranged from $3,985 to $8,290 across the captures, with the jumps coming from the four- and five-of-a-kind wins.

The Ceiling

No maximum win is published, but the paytable makes the ceiling easy to work out. Five sevens on a single line pay 1,000x, and a screen full of sevens would light all five lines at once – a theoretical 5,000x. That is our own calculation, not an official figure.

Froot Classic and Its Siblings

Froot Classic belongs to the same family of Foxi (Fazi) fruit games as titles such as Hit Line and Buffalo Sevens: few lines, a clear paytable and an emphasis on the flaming seven.
