Panda Chef Overview

Panda Chef is a food-themed slot from Eurasian Gaming, released on 1 February 2024. A panda in a chef’s hat and apron runs the kitchen on a classic 5x3 grid with 10 fixed paylines, surrounded by a bamboo forest. SlotCatalog rates the variance as Low and lists stakes from 0.10 to 20 per spin. Eurasian Gaming does not publish an RTP or a maximum win for this title, and the studio’s own demo page is no longer available, so there is no free demo on this page.

The Menu on the Reels

The symbols are dishes from a Chinese kitchen, drawn in rich, glossy colours on dark blue tiles framed in red lacquer:

• Steamed bao buns in a bamboo basket
• Grilled meat with chillies on a cast-iron plate
• Roast duck, both on its own and served on a plate
• Ornate A, K and Q card symbols in gold, purple and red

The panda chef himself is the scatter, and he is the symbol everything in the game revolves around.

The Panda Scatter

Scatters pay wherever they land, and the panda pays well. In one of our spins four pandas were scattered across the grid, and the game announced “You won 1,000.00 USD!” at a total stake of 100 – 10x the bet for four scatters.

The panda also appears inside ordinary line wins. On another spin two rows of four Ks paid 600, and the panda in the middle of the second row was lit up as part of that win – he completed the line as if he were a K.

What Our Spins Showed

We played at 10 per line, which is 100 per spin on the 10 lines – the game confirms it under the reels with “Betting 100.00 USD on 10 lines”.

• Three roast ducks on the right-hand reels paid 500, 5x the stake: “Win paid 500.00 USD!”.
• Two lines of four Ks, one of them completed by the panda, paid 600 – 6x.
• Four panda scatters paid 1,000 – 10x.

Power Play: Fast-Play Mode

Panda Chef has a feature most slots do not: Power Play. The welcome screen offers a Fast-Play Feature that will “play many game rounds automatically and instantly get the resulting win amount”. You choose the number of rounds – the default on our screen was 120 – press Enable, and the game skips the animation and shows only the result.

We tried it. A counter ran through the rounds under a shower of coins, and the summary screen reported: “You won 13,250.00 USD – 90 game rounds played – total amount bet 9,000.00 USD”. Ninety rounds at 100 cost 9,000, and they returned 13,250 – a lucky 147% of the amount staked.

Buy and Gamble

The control panel has a BUY button next to the spin button, and SlotCatalog lists both a Buy Feature and a Risk/Gamble (double) game among the features. The buy price and the gamble screen are not in our screenshots, so we cannot quote them here.
