How we rate games

Every slot is scored on the same four criteria, using the game's published data: RTP (40%), maximum win potential (25%), bonus features described in our review (30%) and how recent the release is (5%). Missing data counts as neutral. The score reflects the game's numbers and features, not your chances of winning; slots are games of chance, so please play responsibly.

3 Cash Chameleons is a jungle-themed video slot from Yggdrasil, made by the partner studio 4ThePlayer and released on 22 October 2026. Three colourful chameleons sit on branches to the left of the reels, a waterfall crashes down on the right, and a glittering casino hotel rises in the background. The game plays on 6 reels and 4 rows with 4,096 ways to win, the headline RTP is 96%, the volatility is medium-high and the top win is capped at 10,000x the stake.

A Lizard Gang With Expensive Taste

The look is bright and cartoonish. The premium symbols are characters from the same jungle crew: a jaguar in sunglasses, a grey critter in a yellow jacket and a pink-hatted lizard lady, while poker chips, playing cards and red dice fill the middle of the paytable. The low symbols are the royals from 10 to A, drawn in thick gold and purple letters. A red-and-gold Wild sign lands on reels 2 to 6 and replaces every symbol except the Cash Prizes, though it has no payout of its own.

The real stars are the three chameleons on the left. Each one is a Chameleon Pot: an orange one at the top, a blue one in the middle and a green one at the bottom. They are not just decoration – their long tongues decide which prizes are paid and how much they are worth.

How 4,096 Ways Pay

There are no paylines. A win needs matching symbols on consecutive reels starting from the leftmost one, in any position. When a reel holds more than one copy of the symbol, the win is multiplied: two on the first reel, three on the second and two on the third make the paytable value 2 x 3 x 2 = 12 times bigger. Bets run from €0.10 to €40 per spin, and the provider lists a hit frequency of about 23%.

Cash Prizes Need A Lick

Golden Cash Prize coins can drop onto any position in the base game. Their values are 0.5x, 1x, 1.5x, 2x, 5x, 7x, 10x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x, 75x or 100x the bet, but a prize only pays if a chameleon licks it and adds a multiplier. Each pot has its own range: the first gives 2x to 20x, the second 1x to 15x and the third 1x to 10x. Several chameleons can lick the same coin, and the multipliers are added together, so a 2x lick followed by a 4x lick pays the coin at 6x. In the base game one prize can be licked up to six times, with a cap of 115x on a single coin. Prizes that nobody licks simply disappear.

Coins, Pots And The Respin Trigger

Smaller Coins can also land on top of any symbol. They fly straight into one of the Chameleon Pots, and any collected Coin can trigger the bonus at any moment. The pots change their look as they fill, but the game rules make it clear that this is only visual – it does not show how close the feature is.

Chameleon Respins

The main feature is a Hold and Spin style round called Chameleon Respins. The reels clear, and every Cash Prize that lands locks in place with a 1x multiplier attached. The round starts with 3 lives, and each new prize resets the counter to three. It continues until the lives run out or every position is filled. The pot (or pots) that triggered the round start with a boosted range – up to 40x for the first chameleon, 30x for the second and 20x for the third – and the others can become boosted when Coins land during the respins, which does not reset the lives.

In this round the chameleons lick the locked coins again and again. One prize can be licked up to 58 times, and the multiplier on a single coin can grow to 1,700x. All multipliers are applied when the round ends, and then every prize is paid. If the whole 24-position grid fills up, the pots go into a Licking Frenzy: they hit many prizes at once to raise their multipliers, and the round ends after it, whatever lives are left.

Three Ways To Buy In

The Buy Feature button opens three choices:

  • Chameleon Respins – starts the bonus at once for 75x the bet;
  • Chameleon Spin – one spin with a guaranteed chameleon multiplier for 15x;
  • Feasting Frenzy Spin – one spin with several chameleon multipliers for 50x.

The buy options keep the same RTP as the base game and can only be used between paid spins.

The Respins We Bought

At a €1 bet we paid €75 for the respins. The intro screen explained the three lives and the Licking Frenzy, and the first respin already locked four coins, including a 49.60 prize. The tongues soon went to work: the orange chameleon put x3 and x8 on coins in the top-right corner, and the middle coin received x4. As the respins went on, those labels grew to x6 and then x13, and more coins of 0.50 to 14.40 joined them. In the end only two of the 24 positions stayed empty, so the Licking Frenzy just missed out. The round still paid €246.50, a little over three times the buy price.

RTP, Volatility And Max Win

Yggdrasil lists the RTP as 96%, with lower versions at 94%, 92% and 90.5% for operators. The demo build runs at 94%, so it is worth opening the rules where you play. The volatility is medium-high, and the cumulative win in one paid game is limited to 10,000x the bet. The rules also give an idea of the swings: over 100 spins, an average player's best win is about 54x, while one player in a hundred sees a hit of around 518x.

Is It Worth A Spin?

3 Cash Chameleons takes the familiar coin-collect formula and adds a clever twist, because no prize is safe until a chameleon claims it. The base game is busy, the respins feel tense with every reset of the lives, and the growing multipliers on single coins can turn small prizes into large ones. Players who enjoy hold-and-win rounds with a bit more character should give it a try, while the 15x Chameleon Spin is a cheap way to see the tongues in action.
