How we rate games

Every slot is scored on the same four criteria, using the game's published data: RTP (40%), maximum win potential (25%), bonus features described in our review (30%) and how recent the release is (5%). Missing data counts as neutral. The score reflects the game's numbers and features, not your chances of winning; slots are games of chance, so please play responsibly.

Cats Love Yummy is a cat-themed video slot from BGaming, released on 30 September 2026. It runs on a 5x3 grid with 30 lines and adds a separate sixth reel that exists only for the Cats Jackpot. The theme is a cosy living room, a kitchen counter and a crowd of kittens who have just discovered a new brand of treats.

Kittens, Toys And A Sunny Kitchen

The reels sit in front of a warm, orange-toned interior with plants, wooden cupboards and a cat tree in the corner. The high symbols are five cats drawn in a soft cartoon style: a ginger cat with its mouth wide open, a black-and-white cat with big round eyes, a grumpy dark cat, a grey kitten and a blue-eyed ragdoll. The lower symbols are cat toys: a feather wand, a toy mouse, a ball of yarn, a fish, a cardboard box with holes and a feathered ball.

Winning symbols light up and the payout appears in a large purple banner over the reels. When a line pays, a thin yellow line crosses the grid and the footer reads “Line 9 pays” or whichever line was hit, so it is easy to see where a win came from.

The Paytable

Wins are paid on the lines from the leftmost reel. The paytable lists the pay as a multiple of the line bet for five, four and three of a kind:

  • Ginger cat and black-and-white cat: 150x, 75x and 8x.
  • Grumpy dark cat: 100x, 50x and 5x.
  • Feather wand: 75x, 40x and 5x.
  • Toy mouse and ball of yarn: 50x, 20x and 5x.

The fish, the box and the feathered ball fill out the bottom of the table, together with the other cats.

Wilds On The Reels

The Wild is a bright, colourful package of treats with the word “Yummy” on every tube. It lands on reels 3, 4 and 5 in the base game, often as a stack that covers several cells of a reel, and it replaces the other symbols to complete a line. A single stacked wild next to a few cats can turn a quiet spin into a decent payout, and in the demo two stacked wilds on neighbouring reels produced a win of 0.80 EUR on a 2.40 EUR bet, while a group of three cats and a wild paid 21.04 EUR.

Cats Jackpot On Reel 6

The sixth reel is a narrow column on the right, showing black cat silhouettes until the Cats Jackpot symbol lands on it. This symbol never appears on the five main reels. When it lands, a five-of-a-kind win on the main reels turns into a jackpot prize, and the type of prize depends on which symbols formed the win:

  • Grand: five of a kind from the cat symbols, without any wild helping.
  • Major: five of a kind from the toy symbols, without any wild helping.
  • Minor: five of a kind from the cat symbols, with one or more wilds included.
  • Mini: five of a kind from the toy symbols, with one or more wilds included.

At a 2.40 EUR bet, the panel above the reels shows Grand 800 EUR, Major 200 EUR, Minor 80 EUR and Mini 40 EUR. The values move with the bet, so they are easy to compare between stakes. The Grand and Major prizes are not available during the free spins, which leaves only Minor and Mini in the bonus round.

Paw Scatters And The Free Spins

The Scatter is a pink paw print. Three, four or five of them anywhere on the reels start 10, 15 or 25 free spins. During the round, reel 5 is filled with wilds only, which means that every spin has a wild stack waiting on the last of the five main reels. Two or more scatters landing during the free spins add 5 extra free spins.

A round played in the demo started with four scatters and 15 free spins. By spin 7 the total stood at 57.20 EUR, and by spin 9 a single spin paying 92.00 EUR had lifted it to 149.20 EUR, which is about 62 times the bet. The round shows how much the permanent wild reel helps: nearly every spin has at least one wild in play.

How The Base Game Pays

Most base-game wins are small, which fits the medium-high rating. In the demo at a 2.40 EUR bet, three toy mice and a wild paid 1.60 EUR on line 9, three balls of yarn paid 2.00 EUR, and a pair of ginger cats next to a wild paid 6.64 EUR. A screen with four paw scatters showed a total win of 48.00 EUR on its own, which is 20 times the bet and a good sign that the scatters pay even before the free spins begin.

Because the wins on the toys start at only 5x for three of a kind, the cats do most of the work. Three cats pay 8x or 5x, five of a kind pays 100x to 150x, and a five-cat win with the Cats Jackpot symbol on reel 6 can beat all of that by turning into a Grand prize of several hundred times the bet.

The Controls And Info Screens

The game follows BGaming’s usual layout: the balance and information button sit in the bottom-left corner, the total bet is adjusted with two small arrows in the middle, and the large spin button with the autoplay shortcut is at the right-hand end of the bar. The info screen is split into three parts, covering the jackpots and the free spins, the paytable, and the settings, max win, RTP and general rules, so everything about the game can be checked before the first real-money spin.

Buy Feature And Fast 100

Where it is available, the Buy Feature costs 100x the total bet and guarantees at least three scatters on the next spin, so the free spins are triggered right away. A second button, Fast 100, plays 100 rounds in a row automatically. The settings panel also has a quick spin mode, where the license allows it, and the spacebar can be used instead of clicking the spin button.

RTP, Volatility And Max Win

The theoretical return to player is 96.07%, which is slightly above the typical online slot average. The volatility is medium-high: the base game pays small and medium wins fairly regularly, and the larger wins come from the jackpots and from the free spins with their permanent wild reel.

The maximum win is capped at 1,500x the total bet. If a round reaches this amount, it ends and the capped win is paid. This is a modest ceiling compared with many recent releases, so the slot is more about frequent bonuses and a charming presentation than about extreme top wins.

Our Verdict

Cats Love Yummy suits players who like friendly, colourful slots with a clear set of rules and who enjoy a jackpot mechanic that is easy to follow. If you prefer 10,000x potential, look elsewhere; if you want a relaxed slot with stacked wilds, a purchasable bonus and four fixed jackpot tiers, it is worth a spin in the demo first.
