3 Coin Treasures Overview

3 Coin Treasures is an Asian-themed video slot from TaDa Gaming, released on 26 April 2024 and part of the studio’s TriLuck series. It plays on 5 reels and 3 rows with 243 ways to win. SlotCatalog lists an RTP of about 97%, low-to-medium volatility and a maximum win of 5,200x the stake.

The base game is deliberately plain. The real action happens in a hold-and-win style Feature Game, where three lucky coins – a Dragon, a Koi and a Tiger – each bring their own power, and a full grid pays the Grand Jackpot.

Theme and Design

The game is played in portrait format against a deep red background. Three large lucky coins spin above the reels – a blue one with a golden dragon, a gold one and a green one – and above them sit the four jackpot values. At the 20 bet shown in our screenshots these read Mini 100, Minor 200, Major 1,000 and Grand 100,000.

The premium symbols are the red dragon, a golden carp, a tiger head and a green bowl of treasure, followed by a blue folding fan. Card ranks such as K, Q, 10 and 9 make up the low end, and a Wild symbol substitutes for the pay symbols.

Paytable and Ways

With 243 ways, wins pay for matching symbols on adjacent reels from left to right, wherever they sit on each reel. The dragon is the only symbol that already pays for two of a kind. The in-game paytable lists these values as multiples of the bet:

  • Dragon: 0.6x for five, 0.5x for four, 0.4x for three, 0.1x for two
  • Carp and Tiger: 0.5x, 0.4x and 0.3x
  • Treasure bowl: 0.4x, 0.3x and 0.2x

The low per-way values add up quickly, because several ways usually pay at once. In our screenshots a spread of fans paid 72, a full row of K symbols 96, and a grid full of fans 144 at a bet of 20. Seven red dragons, stacked across the first four reels, brought in 120.

Our Base Game Session

The screenshots show how the base game behaves in practice. Most spins end with a small win built from several ways at once – 12 from four tiger heads, 14 from fans and K symbols, 48 from a spread of Q symbols. None of these are large on their own, but they come often enough to keep the balance ticking, which is what a low-to-medium volatility game is supposed to do. The three coins above the reels glow the whole time, a constant reminder of where the real prizes are.

The portrait format is worth mentioning, because the game was clearly designed with phones in mind. The reels, the coins and the jackpot panel are stacked vertically, and the bet, spin, autoplay and turbo buttons sit together below the reels. On a desktop screen the game runs in a centred column with dark bars on both sides.

The Three Lucky Coins

Dragon, Koi and Tiger lucky coins can land on any reel on top of the regular symbols. Whenever at least one of them appears, there is a chance that the Feature Game will start, and if several different coins land together, all of them take part in the bonus. Each coin has its own effect:

  • Koi Coin – absorbs the value of all coins on the grid
  • Tiger Coin – flips to reveal a cash prize or a jackpot
  • Dragon Coin – doubles the value of all coins on the grid

The Feature Game

The bonus starts with 3 free spins. Before the first spin, 5 cash or jackpot coins are added to the grid next to the triggering lucky coins. From then on only blanks, cash coins, jackpot coins and the triggering lucky coins can land.

Cash coins are worth between 0.1x and 30x the stake, while the Mini, Minor and Major jackpot coins pay 5x, 10x and 50x. If all 15 positions fill up with coins, you win the Grand Jackpot of 5,000x the stake; otherwise the round ends when the free spins run out. The most rewarding version is the one started by all three lucky coins, when the Koi, Tiger and Dragon powers can work together in the same round.

Buy Feature

Where the market allows it, the Feature Game can be bought directly. According to SlotCatalog, 40x the stake guarantees at least one triggering lucky coin, 57x at least two, and 78.5x starts the round with all three.

The TriLuck Series and the Sequel

3 Coin Treasures belongs to TaDa Gaming’s TriLuck series, in which three different modifiers combine in the bonus round. Other entries, such as 3 Lucky Piggy, use the same structure with a different theme. In April 2025 the studio followed it up with 3 Coin Treasures 2; SlotCatalog lists the sequel with a 97% RTP and a doubled maximum win of 10,400x. Both games were in the same casino lobbies when we checked.

Bets and RTP

SlotCatalog lists bets from 0.30 to 100 per spin. The roughly 97% RTP is well above the market average, and the low-to-medium volatility means the base game pays small wins often while the Feature Game provides the swings. The 5,000x Grand Jackpot accounts for nearly all of the 5,200x maximum win.

Our Verdict

3 Coin Treasures keeps things simple on the reels and puts all its ideas into the bonus, where three lucky coins with clearly different powers make every Feature Game a little different. The high RTP and moderate volatility suit players who prefer steady sessions to all-or-nothing gameplay. The free demo above is TaDa Gaming’s own and needs no registration.
