7's Luck Overview

7's Luck is a five-reel, three-row slot from Red Tiger with 20 fixed paylines, an RTP of 95.75%, a medium volatility rating and a top prize of 10,000x the stake. It was released on 6 February 2025.

On the surface it is a fruit machine: bells, horseshoes, watermelons, oranges, plums and cherries. Underneath sit two mechanics that do nearly all the work – stacked wilds that turn whole reels into doubling reels, and a pot-collecting respin feature with a prize ladder on top of it.

All figures below were read from demo play at a €4.00 stake.

Clover Fields and a Pot of Gold

The reels sit in a gold-trimmed frame on a bed of four-leaf clovers, with white daisies and violets scattered through the leaves. To the right a heap of gold coins spills out of the scenery, and the game's logo hangs above the grid on a Celtic knot medallion.

The Irish setting and the fruit symbols never quite meet – the reels themselves are pure classic slot, with glossy, oversized fruit. The only symbols that belong to the clover theme are the Treasure Pot, a cauldron heaped with gold under a rainbow, and the horseshoe.

The wild is a red 7 with the word WILD across it, which is where the game gets its name.

The Paytable

Every symbol pays for three, four or five of a kind on a line, from left to right on adjacent reels starting at the leftmost reel. The values on the paytable are multiples of the total stake:

Bell – 50x for five, 5x for four, 2.5x for three.
Horseshoe – 15x, 2.5x and 1x.
Watermelon – 10x, 1.5x and 0.7x.
Orange, plum and cherries – 5x, 1x and 0.5x each.

The bell is the standout. Five bells pay more than three times as much as five horseshoes, and ten times as much as any of the three cheapest fruits.

The table is easy to check in play. Three oranges on a line paid €2.00 on our €4.00 stake – exactly the 0.5x the paytable promises.

The 20 lines are fixed and shown on the Win Lines page of the rules: the three straight rows, the two V shapes, and fifteen zigzags that cross the grid. Every line has to start on reel 1, which is one reason the wilds are kept to reels 2 to 4.

Stacked Wilds That Become Wild x2 Reels

Wilds land only on reels 2, 3 and 4, and they can land stacked. They substitute for every paying symbol except the Treasure Pot.

The interesting part is what happens when a stack covers all three positions of a reel. The reel then becomes a Wild x2 reel and doubles every win it takes part in.

The multipliers combine. If a winning line runs through two Wild x2 reels, the win is multiplied by x4. If it runs through all three, it is multiplied by x8.

Because the wild reels sit in the middle of the grid, a single full stack on reel 3 can touch every one of the 20 lines at once. That is why a base game win of a few times the stake is possible even from the cheap fruit.

The Hold and Respin Bonus

Landing three, four or five Treasure Pots anywhere starts the Hold and Respin feature. The pots stay locked in place and every other position spins on its own.

The feature starts with three respins. Each new pot that lands locks in and resets the counter to three. It ends when a set of respins runs out without a new pot, or when the grid fills.

Every pot carries a cash value of 2x, 3x, 5x, 8x or 10x the stake. In our session we saw pots worth €8, €12, €20 and €40 – that is 2x, 3x, 5x and 10x on the €4.00 stake. At the end, the values of all the pots are added together.

On the last spin of our round the grid showed pots of €8, €12 and €20 spread across all three rows – well short of the eight needed to reach the ladder, so the payout was simply the sum of the pots.

The Prize Ladder

The pot values are only half of the bonus. When eight or more pots are collected, the game adds a prize from the ladder shown on either side of the logo. At the €4.00 stake it read:

8 pots – €40 (10x)
9 pots – €80 (20x)
10 pots – €120 (30x)
11 pots – €200 (50x)
12 pots – €400 (100x)
13 pots – €800 (200x)
14 pots – €4,000 (1,000x)
15 pots – €40,000 (10,000x)

Two things stand out. The jump from 13 pots to 14 is five-fold, and the jump from 14 to 15 is ten-fold. And the top rung, 10,000x for a full grid of fifteen pots, is the game's published maximum win – the ceiling and the full-screen prize are the same number.

Feature Buy

Two features can be bought directly, both at 25x the stake.

The Wild x2 Reel buy guarantees at least one full stack of wilds with the x2 multiplier. The Hold and Respin buy guarantees three or more Treasure Pots and starts the bonus round.

At 25x, the Hold and Respin buy only pays for itself when the pots add up to more than 25 times the stake – roughly five or six average pots, or one trip up the ladder past eight pots.

What Our Session Showed

Most base game spins returned a fraction of the stake from the fruit. Three oranges gave €2.00, and a win built around two wild 7s stacked on reel 3 paid €4.00, the stake back.

That fits the design. Apart from the bell, no symbol pays more than 15x even for a full line of five, and the four cheapest fruits stop at 10x or 5x. The real value of the game sits in the wild reels, the pots and the ladder.

It is also worth remembering how much the ladder adds at its lower rungs. Eight pots worth an average of 4x would be about 32x on their own; the eighth pot adds another 10x on top, so the ladder can lift a modest round by around a third.

Who Should Play It

7's Luck suits players who like a traditional fruit slot but want something at the top of the range. The paytable is simple, the wild reels are easy to follow, and the ladder makes the bonus round tense in a way the base game never is.

The reservations are an RTP of 95.75%, slightly below the usual 96%, and a ladder that only pays serious money above thirteen pots.
