Third Prince's Journey Overview

Third Prince's Journey is a Chinese-mythology slot from Eurasian Gaming, released on 1 August 2019. It tells the story of Nezha, the third prince of Chinese legend, on a 5x3 grid with 20 paylines. SlotCatalog lists a maximum win of 45,000x the bet and bets from 0.20 to 100; neither the studio nor SlotCatalog publishes an RTP or a volatility rating, so we leave those open. The game has no embeddable free demo, because the provider does not allow its game page to be shown inside other websites.

The Symbols

The low-paying symbols are the card values 10, J, Q and K in bright red, blue, green and gold lettering. Above them sit the treasures of the legend: a golden bracelet – Nezha’s famous Universe Ring – a red silk sash, and a golden fire wheel. The character symbols are Nezha himself with his fire-tipped spear, the goddess Guanyin in white, and a dragon king in armour.

What Our Spins Showed

We played at 5.00 per line, a total bet of 100 USD across the 20 lines. The screenshots let us check several wins:

  • three golden bracelets across the top row paid 100 USD – 1x the bet
  • three red sashes paid 50 USD – half the bet
  • three Qs on the top row paid 25 USD
  • one busier spin with Nezha stacked on the first reel paid 420 USD – 4.2x the bet

The pattern is typical for a 20-line game: the treasures pay around a single bet for three of a kind, while the bigger wins come when the character symbols line up across several lines at once.

The Legend Behind the Game

Nezha, the “Third Prince”, is one of the best-known child heroes of Chinese mythology. In the classic tales he fights the Dragon King of the Eastern Sea with his magic weapons: the Universe Ring, the Red Armillary Sash and the Wind Fire Wheels he rides on. The game uses exactly these objects as its treasure symbols – the golden bracelet, the red sash and the fire wheel – and puts the Dragon King and the goddess Guanyin among the character symbols. It is a faithful nod to the story rather than a generic oriental theme.

Power Play: Fast-Play

The most unusual part of the game is Power Play, a menu shared by several Eurasian Gaming titles. Its Fast-Play Feature lets you choose a number of rounds, plays them all automatically and shows only the result. The rules on the screen say it plainly: the feature stops if a bonus is triggered, shows you the win so far, and lets you play the bonus yourself.

We set it to 95 rounds. The game confirmed “95 game rounds will be played”, and after pressing spin the summary read: You won 3,265.00 USD – 95 game rounds played – total amount bet 9,500.00 USD. That run returned about 34% of the money staked, a reminder that fast-play compresses a lot of variance into a single screen – our Panda Chef run on the same feature finished well ahead instead.

How to Read the Fast-Play Result

Fast-Play is honest about its maths: it simply shows how much was bet and how much came back. In our 95-round run the total bet was 9,500 USD and the return 3,265 USD, a net loss of 6,235 USD over the session. With no published RTP we cannot compare this to a theoretical figure, but a single run of 95 spins is far too short to say anything about the long-term return – one bonus round can swing the result completely. The value of the feature is speed: dozens of rounds in a few seconds, with the game pausing if a bonus arrives so you do not miss it.

Free Spins and Gamble

SlotCatalog lists free spins with scatter symbols, a gamble (double-up) game and a “take or refuse” bonus. None of these appears in our screenshots, so we do not describe them in detail here. The two side panels next to the reels show a “20 lines” badge above and a small counter below that changed from spin to spin in our session.

Graphics and Setting

The reels sit in a lacquered red frame with gold edging, under a bold red banner with the Chinese title and the English name. Behind them lies a traditional town street with tiled roofs. The symbols are painted in bright colours, and the character portraits – Nezha with his red scarf, Guanyin, the dragon king – are the most detailed pieces of art.

Who It Is For

Third Prince's Journey suits players who enjoy Chinese mythology and a classic 20-line structure, and who like the idea of running many rounds quickly with Fast-Play. The missing official RTP is a drawback, and the 45,000x ceiling signals that big wins are rare. All six casinos we checked carry the game.
