How we rate games

Every slot is scored on the same four criteria, using the game's published data: RTP (40%), maximum win potential (25%), bonus features described in our review (30%) and how recent the release is (5%). Missing data counts as neutral. The score reflects the game's numbers and features, not your chances of winning; slots are games of chance, so please play responsibly.

3 Aztec Spells is a jungle adventure from Spinomenal, released on 21 September 2026. Behind a 5x3 grid with 10 fixed paylines stand three stone pyramids in green, red and blue, and each one casts a spell on the bonus game. The RTP is 94.28%, the volatility is medium-high and the maximum win is 3,000x the bet.

Three Pyramids, Three Spells

The three temples above the reels are labelled Boost, Multi and Collect, and the intro screen already shows them as glowing medallions. They are not decoration: each pyramid matches one special coin that can appear in the bonus game. On the left side of the screen a column of four jackpot plates shows Mini, Minor, Major and Grand, and the whole scene is set in a dark rainforest at night with golden carvings.

The base game uses ordinary stone-carved symbols: a hummingbird, a snake, a monkey and a jaguar as the main pays, with J, Q, K and A as the low pays. The Wild is a golden mask figure with a feathered crown. Five Wilds on a line pay 10x the bet, four pay 2x and three pay 0.5x, and three or four Wilds pay only when a bonus coin follows them. Five of a kind with the two best animals pays 5x, the other two animals pay 2.5x, and the card symbols pay 1x for five.

The controls follow the usual Spinomenal layout: a question mark for the rules on the left, minus and plus around the bet field, the Buy button next to the large round spin button, and an autoplay icon beside it. Turbo mode is available, the paytable shows every payout in multiples of the bet, and during the bonus game the bet buttons are disabled.

How The Bonus Game Starts

The bonus is a Hold & Hit feature, a close cousin of the Hold and Spin respin bonus that many players know. It starts when 6 or more qualifying symbols land anywhere on the reels. A qualifying symbol is either a normal gold coin (a Bonus symbol) or one of the Special Bonus coins: Collect, Boost, Multi or a Jackpot. The coins that triggered the round stay locked and you get 3 respins.

On every respin, the empty cells can be filled with coins worth 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 7x or 10x the bet, with the three special coins, or with a Mystery symbol. Whenever a new coin lands, the respin counter goes back to 3, and the round ends after three spins without a landing, or when all 15 cells are full.

When the bonus starts, the reels turn into a grid of 15 separate cells. The three pyramids above the grid light up when their matching coin is active, so it is easy to see which spells are in play: in the demo, only the blue pyramid stayed lit during one round, because only Collect coins had appeared. Each respin shows a small counter below the grid, and it jumps back to three every time something new lands.

What Each Spell Does

  • Boost (green) picks a value of 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 7x or 10x the bet, adds it to every coin on the grid and keeps that value for itself;
  • Multi (red) picks a multiplier of 2x, 3x or 5x, applies it to every value on the reels and then takes a value of its own;
  • Collect (blue) gathers the values of all coins in view and shows the total on itself;
  • Mystery appears only in the bonus game and turns into Boost, Multi, Collect or a jackpot coin.

An important detail is that a spell can appear during the round only if it was in the triggering spin or was revealed by a Mystery coin. After that it can also land on its own. This makes the order of the coins matter: a Boost followed by a Multi is far stronger than the same pair in the opposite order, because the multiplier works on the boosted values.

It also helps to know how the round is paid. When the bonus ends, the values of all coins on the grid are added together and paid as one Bonus Win, shown in a banner with a shower of gold coins. The total is capped at 3,000x the bet, and if the cap is reached, the round stops at once.

Jackpots And Bonus Blast

The jackpot coins can appear on any respin, and the rules list their values as 20x for Mini, 50x for Minor and 150x for Major. The Grand jackpot of 3,000x is awarded for filling all 15 cells, which is also the maximum win of the game.

Outside the bonus, the Bonus Blast feature can activate randomly in the base game. It needs special coin types that were collected in earlier spins, and when it fires, extra Bonus and Special Bonus coins spread over the reels so that enough symbols appear to start the bonus game.

Buying In

The Buy button opens a three-card menu to choose the bonus mode: a single mystery coin, two mystery coins, or all three spells in play. At a 0.10 bet the first option costs 9.00, which is 90 times the bet. In the demo the bought bonus opened with a Bonus Game screen that explains the four coin types, and then the grid filled up with gold coins worth 0.1 to 1, one blue Collect coin and a Mini plate. The round closed with a Bonus Win of 9.6, slightly above the purchase price.

Playing Style

The base game is quiet: with ten lines and low line prizes, most spins return small amounts, and the real action is the bonus coins landing on the reels. Because six qualifying symbols are needed, the game gives a reason to watch the reels closely. Two or three coins on the grid are common, and each new one raises the hope of the next. Players who like a slow build-up will enjoy this rhythm, while those who want constant line wins may prefer a game with more lines.

Quick Facts

The bet range goes from 0.01 to 100, so the game fits every budget. The mix of medium-high volatility and a bonus that can combine all three spells gives plenty of variation: many rounds end with small coin totals, but a round with Boost and Multi in the right order can climb quickly.

3 Aztec Spells is a good choice for players who like a feature with decisions hidden in the order of events, and for anyone who enjoys the Aztec theme with a cleaner look than the usual gold-and-stone designs.
