Thor’s Thunder Strike

Thor’s Thunder Strike is a Norse mythology slot from Spinomenal, released on 21 September 2026. The god of thunder looks out from the title screen with glowing blue eyes and a lightning-wrapped hammer, and the game promises wins of up to 2,000x. It is played on 5 reels and 3 rows with 10 fixed paylines, the RTP is 92.85%, the volatility is high and the maximum win is 2,000x the bet. A free spins round with a wild-collecting bar and instant cash symbols is the heart of the game.

Storm Clouds Over The Mountains

The reels stand between two stone pillars in front of a dark mountain range, and lightning flashes in the sky behind them. When the free spins begin, the sky turns purple and the music becomes louder. The low symbols are the card values 10, J, Q, K and A in a clean style, and the higher symbols are a winged helmet, a drinking horn, a round shield and a golden ring with a rune. A treasure chest marked “Free Spins” is the Scatter, and Thor himself is the Wild.

Paytable And Lines

All wins are paid from left to right on the 10 fixed lines, only the highest win on each line is paid, and the prizes are multiples of the bet per line. The ring is the best symbol, with 2,000x, 200x, 50x and 5x the line bet for five, four, three and two of a kind. The winged helmet pays 1,000x, 150x and 30x for five, four and three. The Q, J and 10 pay 100x for five of a kind, and 25x and 5x for four and three, so the base game stays steady but modest.

Free Spins

Three or more Free Spins Scatters trigger the bonus, but only in the base game:

• 3 Scatters award 10 free spins;
• 4 Scatters award 15 free spins;
• 5 Scatters award 20 free spins.

A “Congratulations” window explains the goal of the round: fill the bar with Wilds and collect the instant cash symbols for instant wins. After the round, a window shows the total won from your free spins.

Wilds And Instant Cash Symbols

Thor appears as a Wild only during the free spins, on all reels, and he substitutes for every symbol except the Scatter. Five Wilds on a winning line do not pay by themselves. The Wild also has a second job: each time the reels spin, purple Instant Cash symbols with a lightning bolt show a random value, and every Wild that lands collects the values of all the Instant Cash symbols on the screen. The collected values are kept until the end of the round.

There are four kinds of Instant Cash symbols: small, medium, large and huge. The small symbol pays 2x or 5x the total bet, the medium one pays 10x or 15x, the large one pays 20x or 25x, and the huge one pays 50x, or up to 2,000x the total bet.

The Wild Bar

At the top of the screen there is a bar with three sections marked “+10 free spins”, “+6 free spins” and “+4 free spins”. Every collected Wild fills it, and the milestones change the round:

• after 4 Wilds you get 10 extra free spins, and the small Instant Cash symbol becomes a medium one for the rest of the round;
• after 8 Wilds you get 6 extra free spins, and the medium symbol becomes a large one;
• after 12 Wilds you get 4 extra free spins, and the large symbol becomes a huge one.

This upgrade system is what gives the bonus its drama: the longer the round goes on, the more valuable the lightning symbols get. Big, Mega and Super Win messages appear when a spin pays a large multiple of the bet.

Buy Feature

The Buy button next to the spin button opens a purple window that offers to trigger the 10 free spins directly and to collect the instant cash symbols. The price is 106x the total bet, which shows as 10.6 at a bet of 0.1, and you can change the bet in the same window before you confirm.

Bets And Controls

The bet is set per line with the minus and plus buttons on the left side of the control bar, and the demo starts at 0.01 per line, which makes a total bet of 0.1 on the 10 lines. The big round button spins the reels, the smaller button next to it repeats the spins automatically, and the question mark opens the help pages with the paytable, the lines and the full rules of the Wild bar. During the free spins the bet buttons are disabled.

At a small stake the lightning symbols show modest values such as 0.2 or 0.3, but the numbers scale with the bet, and the upgrade steps of the Wild bar are where the really large values come from.

RTP, Volatility And Max Win

The RTP of Thor’s Thunder Strike is 92.85%, which is on the low side for a modern slot, so it is worth checking the rules of the casino version. The volatility is high, and the maximum win is 2,000x the bet. In the free spins, the Wilds, the growing bar and the upgraded cash symbols are the only realistic path to a big payout.

Final Thoughts

Thor’s Thunder Strike is a good fit for players who enjoy a collect-style bonus with a clear goal, because you always see how far the bar is from the next level. The base game is classic and quiet, and all the excitement is in the free spins. Since the buy option costs 106x the bet, set a budget first, and try the demo to see how the upgrades work.
