2 Ways Royal Overview

2 Ways Royal is a video poker game from Platipus, released on 10 May 2023. It is built on the Jacks or Better rules: you are dealt five cards, choose which to hold, draw once and are paid on the final hand. The twist in the name is the top prize – there are two Royal Flushes on the paytable, a Royal Flush – High and a Royal Flush – Low, and both pay the same.

The Paytable

The right-hand table in the game lists the multipliers per hand:

• Royal Flush – High and Royal Flush – Low: x800
• Straight Flush: x50 · Four of a Kind: x25 · Full House: x7
• Flush: x5 · Straight: x4 · Three of a Kind: x3
• Two Pairs: x2 · Jacks or Better: x1

The left-hand table converts the same values into cash for the current stake. At €0.20 per hand it shows €160 for either Royal Flush and €0.20 for Jacks or Better; at €4 per hand the Royal Flush reads €3,200.

One Hand or Five

The game lets you play a single hand or five hands at once. In multi-hand mode the held cards are copied to all five hands and each one is drawn separately. Our screenshot shows this at €4 per hand: a total bet of €20, and one of the five hands completed Three of a Kind with a pair of 10s and a third 10 on the draw, paying €12 (x3 on that hand).

A Straight in Single-Hand Mode

With one hand and a €4 bet, the 4-5-6-7-8 in our second screenshot was highlighted as a Straight and paid €16 – exactly the x4 listed on the paytable.

Gamble or Collect

Every winning hand offers two buttons, Gamble and Collect. Collect banks the win; Gamble puts it at risk in a separate risk game. The controls also include an Auto Hold button, which marks the cards the game suggests keeping.

Numbers

SlotCatalog lists the game with a 99.54% RTP and a maximum win of 16,384x; the published description puts the top prize at €819,200. Video poker returns assume optimal holds, so real results depend on how well each hand is played.
