Million Christmas 2 Overview

Million Christmas 2 is a festive slot from Red Rake Gaming played on a tall 6x10 grid with up to 1,000,000 ways to win, an RTP of 95.3% and a published maximum win of 10,000x the bet. It was released on 10 December 2024, just in time for the season it celebrates.

Bets run from 0.20 to 15 per spin. Red Rake has not published a volatility rating for the game, so we do not quote one here. All figures below come from demo play at a €10 total bet.

The game is a sequel in a long-running Red Rake series – the studio has also released Million Christmas and Million Christmas 2023 – and it keeps the series’ idea of a huge ways count on an unusually tall set of reels.

Christmas Eve in a Toy Shop

The reels are framed by a scene of wrapped presents, glowing fairy lights and a decorated tree, with a red and gold gift box stacked on the left and more parcels spilling across the right-hand side of the screen.

The grid itself is set against dark carved stone, which makes the colourful symbols stand out and gives the game a clear way to show which positions are involved in a win: winning symbols stay bright while the rest of the board turns grey.

The premium symbols are a portrait of Santa Claus, a gold star ornament, a pair of bells and a candy cane. Below them sit ornate royals from A down to 9, each decorated with ribbons and holly. A red Santa’s bag, a snowflake and a swirling blue portal act as special symbols.

One Million Ways on Six Reels

Six reels of ten positions each is what produces the headline number: ten to the power of six is exactly 1,000,000 ways. The paytable confirms that wins are paid from left to right on adjacent reels, starting from the leftmost reel, and that where one line could pay more than one combination only the highest win is paid.

With ten positions on every reel, three-reel matches are common, which is why small returns arrive often. The size of those returns depends on how many copies of the symbol land on each reel and how far along the grid the run continues.

Cascades That Keep Paying

Wins trigger an avalanche: the paying symbols stay lit, the rest of the board fades, and new symbols drop into the gaps. A single paid spin can therefore produce several wins in sequence before the board settles.

The win amounts displayed over the grid in our captures were €5.00, €21.00, €35.00, €54.00 and €75.00 – between half the bet and 7.5x. Across the whole session the balance stayed close to the €1,000 demo starting point, between €960 and €999.50.

The two largest wins in this sample both came from the gold star ornament, which landed on several reels at once and linked up across the grid.

The Reindeer Wild

The Wild is a winged reindeer bearing the word Wild. The paytable states that it substitutes for all symbols except the special symbols pictured in the rules, so it helps every normal combination but cannot create a feature on its own.

In a ways game that matters more than usual: a Wild in the middle of the grid can join many combinations at once, and in our captures it appeared in wins built from kings and from the star.

Santa’s Bag and the Bonus Meter

The rules give the Santa’s bag its own section, and the game builds its feature around collection. To the left of the reels a tall panel headed FREE SPINS spells out the word BONUS in large letters – a meter that keeps the route to the feature in view on every spin.

The published feature list for the game mentions symbol collection, random bonus symbols, additive symbols and stacked symbols, all of which fit this design: the base game is working towards the free spins rather than paying out its best features directly.

Free Spins With Cash Coins

When the feature starts, the board changes character completely. In our session the round opened with 7 FREE SPINS, and the grid filled with red coins carrying cash values – 2.5, 5, 7.5, 15, 30 and 40 at our €10 bet.

The coins lined up in columns while the blue portals sat among them, and the published feature list adds free-spins multipliers, extra free spins and respins to the round. The coin values we saw run from a quarter of the bet up to four times it, so it is the number of coins and the multipliers applied to them that decide what a round is worth.

This is where the 10,000x maximum lives. At our €10 stake that ceiling would be a €100,000 win, and at the 15 maximum bet it reaches 150,000.

Layout and Controls

Red Rake keeps the controls on either side of the tall grid rather than underneath it. The balance sits in a panel at the top left, the PAY TABLE button at the bottom left, and the right-hand column stacks the total bet with its minus and plus buttons, the win box, a green round button and a large silver spin button.

The arrangement suits the 6x10 format: nothing overlaps the reels, and the ten rows remain readable even when most of the board has faded to grey during a cascade.

Who Should Play It

Million Christmas 2 is for players who like busy, feature-driven games and a proper festive atmosphere. The million-way grid keeps small wins coming, the cascades make each paid spin last, and the free spins round is where the real value sits.

The reservations are an RTP of 95.3%, slightly below the usual 96% benchmark, and the absence of a published volatility rating – which, with a 10,000x ceiling, makes it sensible to treat the game as one where the big results are concentrated in the feature.
