Street Ninja Overview

Street Ninja is a five-by-five slot from Yggdrasil with 15 paylines, a 96.4% RTP, a high volatility rating and a published ceiling of 10,000x. It was released on 3 April 2025.

All figures below were read from demo play at €50.00 and €60.00 bets.

A Cartoon Backstreet

The art is hand-drawn cartoon rather than the usual render: the grid sits inside a pagoda in a Japanese backstreet, with a clock tower, telegraph poles, paper lanterns, a lucky cat on a roof and a graffiti wall. Little blue ninjas scurry around the edges.

The scene changes to night for the feature, with the city in silhouette and the lanterns lit. It is genuinely charming, and it is the most distinctive-looking game in this batch.

The symbols are gemstones cut into card suits – a red diamond, a pink heart, a blue spade, a green club – plus golden shuriken and a GOLDEN SET star badge on the right rail.

The Paytable

At the €50.00 bet the table reads: the red gem pays 2,500.00 for five, 500.00 for four and 100.00 for three. The pink pays 1,000.00, 250.00 and 50.00. The blue pays 500.00, 100.00 and 25.00, and the green 400.00, 100.00 and 25.00.

Converted: 50x for five red gems, 20x for pink, 10x for blue and 8x for green. Three of a kind on the two cheapest is half the stake.

The paytable runs to eight pages of payline diagrams, and it states the one rule that matters: The paytable reflects the current payout configuration. Paylines pay from left to right.

Base spins land where you would expect from a table like that: one capture pays 50.00 on a €60.00 bet, which is 0.83x – a win that loses money.

The Tower Is the Game

The round announces itself on a paper scroll with a golden key and shuriken around it, and the two lines printed on it are the whole rulebook: BONUS GAME – Get coins to reset your spins! Unlock levels to reach the top coin!

So the tower is a climb with a countdown: every coin you collect resets the spin counter, and each level unlocked takes you nearer the single best token at the top. The round ends when the counter runs out without a coin.

The feature replaces the reels with the pagoda itself, drawn as a tower of rungs, and on each rung sits a token. The tokens carry multipliers, and the range is enormous: the captures show x0.5, x1, x2, x5, x10, x20, x50 and x100.

A counter in a red disc beside the tower counts down – 3 in one capture, 1 in another – so you have a limited number of climbs, and ninjas are drawn scaling the building while it resolves.

The bottom of the tower is not generous. One capture shows a four-token reveal of x1, x0.5, x0.5 and x1 – four tokens whose combined value is less than three times the stake.

But the top of the tower is where the ceiling lives. A x100 token sits near the peak in one capture, directly above a x20 and a x50. On a game whose best line pays 50x, a single x100 token is worth twice the best thing the reels can do.

A base spin at the €60.00 stake shows the other end of the scale: a block of blue spade gems paying 200.00, which is 3.3x.

What the Round Paid

The balance tells the story cleanly: €6,640.00 while the tower was running and €17,965.00 afterwards, with the win field reading €11,325.00.

Against the €50.00 stake that is 226x – by far the best result in this batch, and it came from climbing the tower rather than from anything on the reels.

Four Ways to Buy In, and Two of Them Are Odd

The buy menu is split into two halves – BONUS GAME and FREE SPINS – with two prices each. At the €50.00 bet:

BONUS GAME: 5 Keys for €3,500.00 or Random Keys for €7,500.00. FREE SPINS: 5 Scatters for €4,500.00 or Random Scatters for €7,000.00.

Converted: 70x and 150x for the bonus game, 90x and 140x for the free spins. And now the odd part: in both halves, the guaranteed option is the cheap one and the random option costs roughly twice as much.

That only makes sense one way round: “5 Keys” is a fixed, modest entry, while “Random Keys” can deal you more than five. You are paying double for the chance of a bigger start – and accepting that you might get less than the guaranteed version gives.

It is an unusually honest piece of menu design, and worth reading carefully before clicking: the expensive button is the gamble, not the safe choice.

Two Separate Features

The split menu also tells you there are two distinct rounds: a key-triggered bonus game – the tower – and a scatter-triggered free spins round. They are bought separately and priced differently.

The GOLDEN SET badge on the right rail appears to belong to the base game, lighting up beside the reels between spins.

What the Session Did

The balance runs €10,640.00, 10,140.00, €6,640.00 through the tower, and €17,965.00 at the end – a net gain of about €7,300, or 146x the smaller stake, across the captured session.

Very little of that came from spinning. On a high-volatility 5x5 with a best line of 50x, the reels are a way of reaching the tower rather than a way of winning.

The controls are drawn into the scene rather than bolted on: a wooden BUY cart stands to the left of the pagoda, the spin and skip keys sit on the right, and the balance, win and bet fields run along the bottom edge. A lucky cat waves from a rooftop while the reels turn.

Who Should Play It

Street Ninja is for players who want something that does not look like every other slot, and who like a climbing bonus with visible multiplier tokens. The cartoon art is excellent, the x100 token at the top of the tower is a real target, and the buy menu is refreshingly explicit about what each button gives you.

The reservations are the base game – three of a kind for half a stake, and a best line of 50x – and the price of the tickets. At 70x to 150x, this is a game you enter deliberately.
