Leshy's Magical Forest

Leshy's Magical Forest Overview

Leshy’s Magical Forest is a five-reel, four-row slot from Spinomenal with a selectable number of paylines, from 10 up to 100, a stacked Leshy wild and a free spins round that can be bought directly. It was released on 27 May 2024.

Spinomenal publishes four RTP versions – 88.94%, 92.06%, 93.51% and 96.04% – so the return depends on the version a casino runs. The game’s own configuration sets the maximum win at 3,000x the total bet.

The figures below come from our demo session, played at 50 lines and a total bet of 50 in the base game, and at 80 lines and a total bet of 160 when we bought the bonus.

A Forest Spirit at Night

The reels stand in a dark, moss-covered forest, framed by vines, mushrooms and glowing lights. The Leshy – the forest spirit of Slavic folklore – appears as a bird-skull figure with a staff, and it is the wild. The premium symbols are forest animals: a stag, an owl, a fox and a raven. The low symbols are ornate letters A, K, Q and J.

Choosing Your Lines

Unusually, the number of active lines is up to you. The rules page draws all 100 paylines on the 5x4 grid, and the game’s configuration offers them in steps of ten, from 10 to 100. The total bet is the bet per line multiplied by the lines you play, so at 50 lines a total bet of 50 means 1 per line.

Fewer lines keep the stake low but leave more combinations unpaid; more lines cover the grid but cost more per spin. The paytable values do not change – they are always multiples of the bet per line.

The Paytable

All wins pay left to right from the leftmost reel, and only the highest win on each line is paid. The stag is the top symbol: five pay 1,000x the line bet, four 300x and three 70x. The owl pays 600x, 200x and 60x, and the fox and the raven both pay 120x, 40x and 20x. Five stags are worth more than eight times five foxes or ravens, so the two top animals carry most of the paytable’s value.

The letters are much smaller: A and K pay 40x, 20x and 15x, and Q and J start at 20x for five. With up to 100 lines, the big results come from stacks of wilds that complete many lines at once rather than from a single line.

The line count also changes what a line win is worth against your total stake. At 50 lines, five stags on one line pay 1,000x the line bet, which is 20x the total bet; at 100 lines the same five stags are worth 10x. Even a full screen of stags on all 100 lines would come to 1,000x the total bet, which suggests the 3,000x ceiling depends on free spins wins adding up over a whole round.

The Stacked Leshy Wild

Spinomenal lists Stacked Wild among the game features, and our captures show why it matters. In one base-game spin the wild stacked on the middle reels while Q and K symbols filled the reels on both sides, lighting up a large share of the 50 active lines at once.

Another spin with wilds and a Free Spins scatter on the bottom row paid 330 on the 50 bet, or 6.6x, and a spin with a column of J symbols paid 52.4.

Free Spins

Free Spins scatters trigger the bonus, and the game awarded us 10 free spins. In the round the Leshy grew into a giant wild covering its whole reel, standing between reels of foxes and ravens on one side and K symbols on the other.

With four free spins still to go, the total win on our 160 bet stood at 1,860, or 11.6x the stake.

Buy Feature

The Buy Feature screen has three settings: the number of free spins, the bet and the number of lines. With 10 free spins, a bet of 160 and 80 lines the price was 3,200, which is 20x the total bet – the same 20x set in the game’s configuration.

Each of the three settings has its own plus and minus buttons, and the Buy Price field under them shows the cost of the combination you have chosen before you press Buy. Since the price is a fixed 20x the total bet, halving the bet halves the price, and the screen lets you check the exact figure before any money leaves your balance.

The balance went from 5,420 to 2,220 when we bought the round, and it had climbed back to 4,080 by the time the 1,860 in free spins wins was counted, with four spins still to play.

Win Celebrations

The game’s configuration also defines when a win earns an on-screen celebration: a Big Win from 7x the total bet, a Mega Win from 12x, a Super Win from 25x and an Epic Win from 40x. By those thresholds our 330 on a 50 bet was just short of a Big Win, and the 1,860 in free spins on a 160 bet was a Big Win on its way towards Mega.

The Numbers to Keep in Mind

The 96.04% version is in line with the market average, while the lower versions are well below it, so it is worth checking which one your casino runs. The 3,000x ceiling is well above what a single base-game spin can pay, and at 20x the total bet the free spins buy is priced low compared with the 106x of the studio’s Super Miner - Golden Treasure.

Who Should Play It

Leshy’s Magical Forest suits players who like to control their stake line by line and enjoy dark folklore themes. The stacked wild and the reel-covering Leshy in the free spins are easy to follow, and the adjustable buy screen lets you size the bonus to your budget.
