Cherry Pop Burst Overview

Cherry Pop Burst is a fruit slot developed by AvatarUX and distributed through the Yggdrasil network. It starts on a five-reel, three-row grid with 243 ways, has an RTP of 96.04%, a high volatility rating and a maximum win of 20,000x the bet. It was released on 8 September 2025.

Fruit in a Bubble

The setting is bright and sugary: a pink and lilac sky, a splash of water at the bottom of the screen, and giant cherries and berries floating in bubbles on either side of the reels. The logo, top right, spells the title in candy letters.

The high-paying symbols are fruit painted with a juicy splash effect: bananas, watermelon, orange, grapes, a green apple and a plum, with a separate super-high tier above them. The low symbols are 9, 10, J, Q, K and A, drawn as frosted glass tumblers that glow purple when they win.

How PopWins Works

Every winning symbol pops and is replaced by two new symbols, so the reel it sat on grows one position taller. The new symbols drop in, and if they form fresh wins the process repeats.

In the base game a reel can grow to six symbols tall, which takes the grid from 243 ways to a maximum of 7,776. In free spins the limit rises to nine symbols, which is where the 59,049 figure comes from.

The arithmetic is simple. Five reels of three give 3×3×3×3×3 = 243 ways; five reels of six give 7,776; five reels of nine give 59,049. Every pop adds one symbol to one reel, so the count climbs in uneven steps depending on which reels win.

We watched a single spin work through the full range. It opened at 243 ways, moved to 5,184 after the first few pops and reached 7,776 as the cascade continued, with the win counter at the bottom climbing from €440 to €1,240 to €2,040 along the way.

Random Multipliers

A multiplier can switch on at random, either at the start of a spin or during a win. In the base game it starts at x2 and rises by one after every pop, so a long cascade becomes more valuable with each step.

That is exactly what happened in our long spin. The bubble in the top left read x2 at 5,184 ways, x4 at 7,776, x5 a few pops later and x7 by the time the cascade ended. A spread of Q tumblers paid 480.00 at x5, which shows how quickly even the cheapest symbols add up once the multiplier is running.

In free spins the rule changes: the multiplier activates at the start of the round with a random value of 2x, 3x or 5x.

The Paytable

Symbol values are shown as multiples of the bet. Bananas pay 8x for five, 4x for four and 2x for three. Watermelon pays 6x, 3x and 1.5x. Because this is a ways game, those figures are paid for every way a combination can be made, which is why a handful of tumblers can pay hundreds.

At a €100 bet a line of 9s paid 40.00, and a spread of aces across all five reels paid 320.00 with the x2 multiplier active.

Cherrylicious Free Spins

Our long cascade ended by triggering the free spins round, announced with a 5 inside a bubble full of fruit. The game describes three versions of the bonus:

Cherrylicious Bonus with 5 free spins, Cherrylicious Bonus Plus with 8, and Cherrylicious Bonus Max with 12. Each step up brings more spins and a better chance of the highest multipliers.

During the round, a win can randomly award +1, +2, +3 or +4 extra free spins instead of raising the multiplier. It is a trade-off the player does not control, but it can stretch a short round into a long one.

The Fortune Flip Wheels

At the end of the bonus the game offers three choices. You can collect the win, gamble half of it on a low wheel with chances to win 2x or 3x, or gamble it all on a high wheel with chances to win 3x or 10x. Either wheel can also lose.

The figures show what is at stake. Gamble Half keeps €1,950 safe and could turn the other €1,950 into as much as €5,850 on the 3x segment. Gamble It All could turn €3,900 into €39,000 on the 10x segment, or into nothing.

The 20,000x Cap

The maximum win is capped at 20,000x the bet. If a round reaches that figure it ends immediately, the win is paid up to the cap and all remaining features are cancelled.
