Legion Gold Reckoning

Legion Gold Reckoning is a new chapter in Play’n GO’s Legion Gold series, released on 13 April 2026. It runs on 5 reels, 3 rows and 25 paylines, returns 96.2% (other RTP settings exist), sits at medium volatility, takes bets from 0.10 to 100 and pays up to 10,000x the bet. It combines expanding Wilds, gold coins, four jackpots and a Mega Spins bonus with 3x3 symbols.

Rome In Flames

The reels stand on a marble balcony overlooking ancient Rome, with the Colosseum in the background, fire bowls burning on the frame and red curtains at the edges. The legionnaire in red and gold is the Wild, and the premium symbols are painted animals – a lion, a black bull, a purple horse and an eagle – with gold A, K and purple Q, J cards below them.

The jackpot plaques run down the left side, and a glowing treasure chest sits in the bottom-left corner. On the right, above the bet, is the GO ULTRA switch.

The series is well established. When a feature starts, the atmosphere changes. The congratulations screen shows a burning temple with a crowd of soldiers in front of it, and during Mega Spins flames lick up the sides of the reel frame while the city behind the balcony glows orange.

The Paytable

The paytable is shown at a bet of 1. The lion pays the most at 20x for five, followed by the bull at 16x, the horse at 12x and the eagle at 8x. The four card symbols pay 2x for five. Wins pay left to right on adjacent reels, only the highest win per line counts, and the screen states plainly: “Win up to 10000x your bet with normal bets!”

Those line values are modest, which is typical of a feature-driven Play’n GO game: most of the value sits in the Wilds, coins and bonus rather than in five-of-a-kind hits. The 25 paylines are shown on the same screen, and all of them start from the leftmost reel.

Expanding Wilds

The Wild substitutes for everything except the Scatter, the Gold Coin and the Gold Coin Bag. The rules add an important detail: “All Wilds can become Expanding Wilds if they land in a stack.” In our screenshots that means a legionnaire filling a whole reel from top to bottom.

That is where the base game’s bigger wins come from. One spin with a full Wild reel on reel four pays 200 on line 18; another with Wild stacks on reels one and three, and a third Wild in between, pays 850 on a bet of 75 – more than 11x.

Smaller Wild hits are more common. Two of our screenshots show 100 wins: one with a stacked Wild on reel four and a single Wild on reel two next to a Scatter, the other with a Wild at the bottom of reel two and two dark coins on reel three. At a bet of 75 those are 1.3x each – the kind of hit that keeps the balance ticking over between features.

Gold Coins And Jackpots

Gold coins land with cash values printed on them – 150 and 500 in one of our screenshots, with a 650 total shown between them. Dark, blank coins also appear on the reels in the base game.

At the bet level in our screenshots the jackpots read Mini 500, Minor 1,250, Major 5,000 and Grand 25,000. With the base bet set to 50, that is 10x, 25x, 100x and 500x. The game’s feature list also includes respins, sticky symbols and a pick-object bonus game.

The treasure chest in the corner is part of the same system. In most screenshots it sits closed with a faint glow, but in the 850 Wild screenshot it is open and lit up with gold. Mega Spins

Scatters – a golden temple gate – trigger the free spins. In our screenshot four of them land across the reels, pay 40, and the congratulations screen announces 6 Mega Spins with the instruction “Land Mega Symbols anywhere on the reels!”

During Mega Spins, symbols can land as giant 3x3 blocks. Our screenshot shows a Mega Symbol covering the first three reels with a 10.00 value on it, the counter reading Mega Spin 2/6, and a second counter labelled Gold Re-Spin 0/0 next to it. Several lines run through the mega block at once, and that spin brings the total to 290.

A 3x3 Mega Symbol on the first three reels is a strong start for any line: every one of the 25 lines passes through those three reels, so the fourth and fifth reels decide how far the win reaches. The round in our screenshot has six Mega Spins, with a separate Gold Re-Spin counter beside the spin counter.

GO ULTRA

The bet panel offers 7.50, 10, 20, 40 and 50, and in our screenshots 50 is selected while the total bet reads 75. The difference points to GO ULTRA adding 50% to the stake.
