Phantom Family PrizeMatch OverviewPhantom Family PrizeMatch is a six-reel Halloween slot from Kalamba Games with an unusual 3-3-4-4-5-5 reel layout that produces 3,600 ways to win. It carries an RTP of 93.9%, a volatility rating of 10 out of 10 on Kalamba’s own scale, and a maximum win of 16,000x the stake. Kalamba’s official game portfolio lists the launch date as 24 October 2024, while slotcatalog gives 26 September 2024. We follow the studio’s own date. The same portfolio puts the hit frequency at 28%. The official description names the two features that define the game: K-Boost, which can raise the starting number of free spins, and K-Cash, Kalamba’s cash-symbol mechanic. All figures below were read from demo play at a 75.00 bet in FUN units. A Haunted Family PortraitThe setting is a moonlit Gothic mansion, with bare trees, lit windows and candle lanterns on either side of the reels. The reels themselves rise like a staircase from left to right, three rows high on the first two reels, four on the middle two, and five on the last two. The premium symbols are the ghostly family members, each drawn as a portrait: a grey-faced patriarch in red, a blonde woman in green, a pale boy in a suit, and a young girl in violet. The low symbols are the card ranks A, K, Q and J, carved in dark stone. A flaming skull marked Wild substitutes for the regular symbols, and spell books in two colours feed the two counters above the reels. How the 3,600 Ways WorkThe rules screen does the arithmetic for you: 3 x 3 x 4 x 4 x 5 x 5 = 3,600. Wins pay for matching symbols in any position on consecutive columns from left to right, and only the highest matching combination for each symbol is paid. The rising reel heights matter. A combination of three needs only the first three reels, which have three, three and four positions, so short wins land often. Longer combinations reach into the five-row reels on the right, where there are more positions to match. Our captures show this clearly. A winning line of queens snaked across the left reels and down the taller middle columns, and a group of jacks joined by the green woman reached all the way to the sixth reel for a 502.50 win, about 6.7x the bet. The Paytable at a 75.00 BetThe Ways Pays screen lists the family portraits for six, five, four and three of a kind: Patriarch: 150.00 / 75.00 / 60.00 / 30.00. Green woman, boy and girl: 75.00 / 45.00 / 37.50 / 30.00 each. Six patriarchs on one way therefore pay 2x the bet, and the other three portraits top out at 1x. As with most ways games, the value comes from the same symbol matching on several ways at once rather than from the single-way figures, and a 16,000x ceiling can only be reached through the features. The wild skull helps here too. In one capture a flaming Wild on the fourth reel sat among queens, kings and aces, bridging the gap between the narrow left reels and the taller right ones, which is exactly where a ways game needs a substitute most. K-Cash SymbolsK-Cash symbols carry a cash value printed on them, and they appear in both the base game and the bonus. In one base-game capture two K-Cash values sat on the right-hand reels, 187.50 and 1,125.00; the larger one is 15x the bet in a single symbol. Another capture shows a K-Cash value of 200.00 being paid out in the middle of a queens win, and a spin with several combined wins and K-Cash values paid 196.50 in total. K-Boost and the Two CountersAbove the first two reels sit two spell-book counters. The pink book showed 7, then 8, then 9 across our base-game captures, and the orange book showed 8 and then 9, next to the label up to x10 multiplier. The official description ties K-Boost to the starting number of free spins, which fits the pink counter creeping upwards. The orange counter and its multiplier label point to the K-Cash multiplier used in the bonus. How many books are needed for each step is not shown on the screens we captured, so we describe only what the counters displayed. Free Spins and the K-Cash MultiplierThree spell books award the free spins. In our round the game announced 15 free spins, and the award screen explained the two key rules: extra spell books add extra free spins, and K-Cash values are multiplied before being paid. During the free spins a K-Cash Multiplier ladder runs across the top of the screen with steps of x2, x3, x5, x8 and x10. In one capture the portrait symbols on the third reel carried K-Cash values of 150.00, 150.00, 225.00 and 150.00, and the round’s total stood at 174.00 after four of the fifteen spins. The multiplier applies to the K-Cash values before they are paid, so a K-Cash symbol worth 150.00 at the base level would be worth 1,500.00 at the x10 step. That is the route by which the game reaches its 16,000x ceiling: a grid full of K-Cash values, collected late in the round with the ladder near the top. Buy Bonus OptionsThe Buy Bonus menu offers three versions of the feature, all with a multiplier of up to x10. At a 75.00 bet: 8 free spins: 3,750.00 (50x). 15 free spins: 7,012.50 (93.5x). 30 free spins: 14,025.00 (187x). The price per spin falls slightly as the package grows, from about 6.25x per spin for eight spins to about 6.2x for thirty. Who Should Play ItPhantom Family PrizeMatch is aimed at players who want a genuinely high-volatility game. Kalamba itself rates it 10 out of 10, the RTP is a modest 93.9%, and the base-game paytable tops out at just 2x the bet. The game’s value sits almost entirely in K-Cash, the multiplier ladder and the free spins. The staircase reel layout is the most distinctive thing about it, and it works well: short wins come regularly on the narrow left reels, while the tall right reels hold the bigger combinations.
