How we rate games

Every slot is scored on the same four criteria, using the game's published data: RTP (40%), maximum win potential (25%), bonus features described in our review (30%) and how recent the release is (5%). Missing data counts as neutral. The score reflects the game's numbers and features, not your chances of winning; slots are games of chance, so please play responsibly.

Coffee Dealer is a cartoon crime slot from Hacksaw Gaming, with a wide release on 22 October 2026. The heroes are the “Caffeine Cowboys”, two brothers called Bean and Dean: a cookie in a baseball cap with a bat on the left, and a grinning coffee mug holding a paper bag of beans on the right. The game uses 5 reels and 5 rows with 19 fixed paylines, the RTP is 96.29%, the volatility is high and the maximum win is 10,000x the bet in every game mode.

An Alley Full Of Caffeine

The art style copies the old “rubber hose” cartoons of the 1930s, with white gloves, big shoes and bendy arms, but the story is pure gangster film. The reels sit inside a metal machine of pipes and pressure gauges in a back alley, and the bonus rounds move the action to a subway platform and a dark street with lit windows. The symbols fit the joke: bags of coffee, sacks of sugar, a green wad of cash with a face, a grinning skull and a silver revolver, plus five card royals from 10 to A for the small wins.

Paytable

All wins are counted on the 19 lines from the leftmost reel. The five card royals pay 1x the bet for five of a kind. The five themed symbols are worth more: two of them pay 2x, two pay 3x, and the best one pays 6x for five. The Coffee Cup Wild is worth the most on its own, with 20x for five, but its real job is the reel feature below.

Wild Coffee Reels

The Coffee Cup is a Wild that replaces every paying symbol. When it lands and can be part of a win, it expands to cover the whole reel before the wins are counted, and that reel becomes a Wild Coffee Reel. Then between 0 and 9 extra Coffee Cups drop onto the expanded reel. Each extra cup adds +1x to the reel multiplier, up to a cap of 10x, and the multiplier applies to every win that uses the reel.

When two or more Wild Coffee Reels share a winning line, their multipliers are added together, not multiplied, so a 7x reel and a 2x reel give 9x on that line. Only one Coffee Cup can land on a reel per spin, and Coffee Cups and FS scatters never land on the same reel at the same time.

Mug Life, Brewfather And Espresso Empire

The number of FS scatters that land together in the base game decides which free spins round you get:

  • Mug Life – 3 scatters: 10 free spins with a higher chance of Coffee Cups;
  • Brewfather – 4 scatters: 8 free spins where every reel that becomes a Wild Coffee Reel is activated, and an activated reel gets a Coffee Cup on every following spin;
  • Espresso Empire – 5 scatters: the hidden epic bonus with 10 free spins and at least two Coffee Cups guaranteed on each spin.

In all three rounds, 2 scatters at once add +2 free spins and 3 scatters add +4.

Why Brewfather Stands Out

Brewfather has the fewest free spins, but its rule changes the whole round. Once a Coffee Cup expands on a reel, that reel stays activated until the end, and a new cup lands on it on every spin. Each of those spins also brings 0 to 9 extra cups and a fresh multiplier, so a round with three or four activated reels can stack large added multipliers on every line. A slow start, on the other hand, can leave only one or two activated reels and a small total. That is why the buy menu marks it as the most volatile option of the game.

The Base Game

Most base spins are short and simple: the 5x5 grid fills with card royals and gangster symbols, and the 19 lines pay small amounts quite often. The interesting moments come when a lone Coffee Cup lands in a position that can complete a line. The cup then stretches over the reel, and the extra cups fall in one by one while the multiplier counter climbs. Because the reel only expands if it creates a win, every Wild Coffee Reel you see in the base game also pays something.

Buy Options

The round Buy Bonus button opens four choices, priced at a €2 bet:

  • Bonushunt FeatureSpins for 3x per spin, which makes a bonus five times more likely;
  • Coffee Breath FeatureSpins for 100x per spin, with at least two Coffee Cups on each spin;
  • Mug Life for 80x the bet;
  • Brewfather for 200x the bet, which the menu marks as very high volatility.

The RTP of the buys ranges from 96.30% to 96.34%. Espresso Empire cannot be bought, it has to be won with five scatters.

Two Bought Bonuses

We first bought Brewfather for €400. A Wild Coffee Reel with a 2x multiplier paid €15.60 on the last spin, and after it the screen showed two activated reels side by side, but the round only returned €93.20. Mug Life went better relative to its price of €160. The trigger spin showed three FS scatters on reels 1, 2 and 3, and in the round a blue Wild Coffee Reel collected cups up to 5x for a €60 win. Later, a 7x reel and a 2x reel landed next to each other, and their added 9x multiplier paid €54 on a single line, followed by another €38.20. The round ended at €158, almost the price of the buy.

RTP, Volatility And Stakes

The game returns 96.29% in the base game, and casinos may also run lower RTP versions, so check the info page before you play. The volatility is high, while the hit rate is about 29%, so small wins come quite often, and the big ones need several stacked reel multipliers. Bets run from €0.10 to €100 per spin. Reaching the 10,000x cap ends the round at once.

Is It Worth A Cup?

Coffee Dealer is a good pick for players who like Hacksaw's comic style and a single clear mechanic. The expanding Wild Coffee Reels are easy to follow, the added multipliers make every double-reel spin exciting, and Brewfather, with its sticky activated reels, is where the biggest wins can grow. The cheap Bonushunt mode is a nice option for smaller budgets.
