Slotcade Overview

Slotcade is a five-reel, three-row video slot from Platipus with 5 fixed paylines. Platipus lists the release date as 25 July 2024; SlotCatalog gives 26 July. The published figures are an RTP of 95%, medium volatility and a maximum win of 1,200x the bet.

The numbers below come from our own demo session, played at a total bet of $290 – $58 on each of the five lines.

Pixel Art Fruit Machine

Slotcade looks like an old arcade cabinet. Everything is drawn in chunky pixel art: cherries, plums, apples, oranges, golden bells, BAR blocks and a red seven, all on a dark blue grid framed in teal. A pixel city skyline sits in the background, and a yellow star appears on the reels as the scatter symbol. It is not on the paytable page, but in our captures three stars anywhere on screen paid 2x the stake.

The Paytable

Wins are multiplied by the bet per line, and only the highest win on each line is paid. The red seven is the top symbol: 5,000, 1,000 and 100 times the line bet for five, four and three. At our $58 line bet, five sevens on a line would return $290,000 – 1,000x the total bet.

The BAR pays 1,000, 400 and 50. The plum, apple and orange share 200, 50 and 20, and the cherry pays the same but also returns 5 for just two in a row. The bell is the lowest at 100, 20 and 5.

What Our Session Paid

With only five lines, every win is a round multiple of the $58 line bet, and our captures show that clearly:

Cherries on the first two reels paid $290 – five times the line bet, or 1x the stake.
Three bells on a diagonal line paid another $290.
Three stars scattered across the reels paid $580 (2x).
Three bells along the top row plus three stars paid $870 (3x) – $290 for the bells and $580 for the stars.

Our best result came from cherries filling the first two reels: pairs of cherries on several lines added up to $1,160, or 4x the stake.

The Three Jackpots

The jackpot plaques scale with the bet. At $290 the GRAND showed $290,000 (1,000x) and the MINOR $5,800 (20x), with the MAJOR in between. Platipus lists the jackpots as a feature of the game together with the scatter; our session did not trigger one, so we cannot show how they are won.

The Maximum Win

The GRAND and a full line of sevens are both worth 1,000x the stake, and the published maximum win is 1,200x. That leaves room for a jackpot or a top line to land together with other wins on the same spin, which is the likeliest way to reach the ceiling.

Playing the Demo

The controls follow the usual Platipus layout: balance on the left, total bet on the right, and a large round spin button in the middle, with autoplay and fast-spin buttons beside it. The line in the centre reads “PLAY 5 LINES” before each spin and shows the total win afterwards.

Because the jackpot plaques and the paytable both scale with the stake, it is worth opening the paytable once at your chosen bet: every value there is a multiple of the line bet, so a quick check tells you what each combination is worth in money.

The Numbers to Keep in Mind

A 95% return is a little below the industry average of around 96%. Medium volatility and the 1,200x cap make Slotcade a modest game: most wins are 1x to 4x the stake, and the big prizes depend on sevens or a jackpot.

There are no free spins and no bonus buy, so the whole game happens on the five lines.
