Shrove Tuesday Overview

Shrove Tuesday is a carnival-themed video slot from KA Gaming, released on 6 February 2024. Masks, Witches and a Scarecrow

How the Ways Pay

With 243 ways, a win needs matching symbols on adjacent reels from the left, in any position. Each extra copy of a symbol on a reel multiplies the number of ways, so stacked masks count several times over. Our screenshots let us put numbers on it at a $125 bet:

• Five green witches on two ways (two witches on reel 2, one on each of the other reels) paid $2,000 – so $1,000 per way, or 8x the bet per way.
• Four green witches on six ways (three on reel 1, two on reel 2, a wild on reel 3, one on reel 4) paid $3,000 – $500 per way, or 4x the bet.
• A line of A symbols helped by two scarecrow wilds paid $200.

The four-witch win is a good example of how the ways work: fewer symbols in a row, but more ways, ended up paying more than five in a row.

Triggering the Free Games

Three scatters start the bonus. In our round they landed on reels 2, 4 and 5, paid $250 on their own – 2x the bet – and the game announced “You won 8 free games” on a wooden sign hung with gold coins. SlotCatalog also lists additional free spins, so the round can be extended.

The Growing Multiplier

In the free games a round badge in the top-right corner shows a multiplier that grows as the round goes on. In our screenshots it showed x6 on one free game and x2 on the final screen, so the value changes during the round rather than only climbing. On top of that, the scarecrow wilds can carry their own multiplier – one of them showed an x3 WILD label.

At the x6 stage the game displayed a line win of $3,600 (6X) and a NICE WIN of $6,600, with purple masks, the x3 wild and a shower of gold coins on the reels.

Reading the Free Games Counters

The bottom bar keeps a separate Total Bonus Win counter during the round. On the x6 spin it still read $1,072.77, because the $6,600 had not been added yet. Adding that spin would put the round at roughly $7,673, which leaves about $477 for the remaining free games to reach the final total – a sensible fit with the smaller wins we saw on either side of it.

In other words, one spin carried most of the round. The growing multiplier and a multiplied wild met on the same free game, and that single moment produced about four fifths of the final $8,150.

How Our Round Ended

The eight free games finished on a “YOU WON” banner with the golden sun-mask: $8,150 in total, or 65.2x the bet. The balance line confirms it: from $100,000 when the scatters landed to $108,150 after the round.

The Base Game Session

Outside the bonus the balance moved in the usual way for a ways slot. Starting from $100,000 with a $125 stake, the $200 A-line left the balance at $99,625, and the $2,000 five-witch spin arrived when it had dipped to $99,875. The $3,000 four-witch spin later lifted it to $102,500. Between those wins, most spins paid little or nothing – the witches and the other masks are where the base game earns its money.
