A Pirate Ship at Sea

The reels are built from the planks of a ship’s deck, with a green parrot perched on the left and tropical islands in the distance. The symbols are the crew and their loot: the pirate captain, a mermaid, an octopus, a pirate ship, a treasure chest and a cannon.

The bet per line is set with plus and minus buttons below the reels, next to Buy, the spin button and Auto, and the bottom line confirms “Betting 50.00 USD on 10 lines”. A Buy Feature button with its price is fixed to the right of the grid.

The Paytable

The info page shows the values for the current bet. At 50.00 USD the captain pays 5,000.00 for five – 100x the bet – 500.00 for four and 125.00 for three. The mermaid pays 2,000.00, 375.00 and 75.00, and the octopus 1,000.00, 250.00 and 50.00.

The ship, the treasure chest and the cannon share the lowest line: 250.00 for five, 100.00 for four and 25.00 for three. Four treasure chests across the top row in our session paid exactly the 100.00 from this table.

Wilds That Only Appear by Transformation

The wild is unusual. According to the info page it substitutes for all symbols and appears on reels 2, 3 and 4 only – but it can only appear by transforming from one of two special symbols, a skull and a pair of crossed swords.

Those two symbols also land on reels 2, 3 and 4 only, and they are what triggers the respins feature.

The Respins Feature

When the special symbols landed in our session, the game announced “Congratulations, bonus feature won!” and the skulls turned into WILD symbols. The wilds stay on the reels while the other positions spin again, and new special symbols add respins – we saw a +2 RESPINS banner with two respins left.

The wins came as the wilds spread across the middle reels. The round had reached 4,500.00 USD mid-feature and finished at 8,650.00 USD – 173x the bet. Another respin round, with three wilds across the middle row and octopuses on both sides, paid 5,225.00 USD, about 104x.

What the Session Did

The balance tells the story of a feature-driven game. It started at 9,800.00 USD and was down to 9,669.70 when the first respins round began. After that round it stood at 18,299.70, after the second at 19,324.70, and by the time we opened the paytable it had reached 23,174.70 USD.

Power Play: Buy Bonus and Fast Play

The Power Play menu offers a Buy-Bonus Feature for 3,750.00 USD at our bet – 75x – which grants the respins feature right after the next spin. The Fast-Play Feature plays a set number of rounds, 100 by default, and stops when a bonus is triggered.
