Re Kill Ultimate is a post-apocalyptic zombie slot from Mascot Gaming, released on 23 January 2024. It plays on 5 reels and 4 rows with 40 paylines. SlotCatalog lists an RTP of 95.4%, medium volatility and a maximum win of 10,000x the bet.

A City After the End

The reels sit in a heavy metal frame in front of a ruined city: overgrown skyscrapers, broken motorways and wild grass under a hazy sky. The red and white Re-Kill Ultimate logo hangs in the top left corner, with the Buy Free Spins button just below it.

The high-value symbols are the survivors – three women and a man drawn as realistic portraits – and the zombies are the Wilds, with bloodied faces and a red WILD label. The lower symbols are the royals and a 10, each painted like a stencil on a rusty sign with a violent word: Annihilate, Destroy, Quench, Slaughter, Hurt and Crush. The yellow biohazard sign is the Scatter.

Paytable

The paytable in our screenshots was shown at a 30.00 bet. The top survivor pays 600 for five (20 times the bet), 150 for four and 15 for three. The next survivor pays 450, 120 and 15; the third pays 225, 60 and 12. Among the royals, the A pays 187, 52 and 12, the K 112 for five and the Q 97 for five. The rest of the royals and the 10 pay less. All 40 lines are always active, and the bet lines screen shows the patterns running across the 5x4 grid, from straight rows to V shapes and zig-zags. Since the survivors pay far more than the royals, the transformation in the free spins – where characters become Wilds – changes the balance of the whole screen.

Zombie Wilds

The zombie Wilds replace other symbols to complete wins, and in the base game they can do a lot of work. In our screenshots a whole reel turned red with a big WILD on it, and together with a zombie on the fourth reel it linked the A, Q and 10 symbols on several lines for a 111.00 win. In another spin two zombies on the first two reels and a red Wild reel on the fifth paid 132.00, both on a 30.00 bet.

Free Spins With Transformed Wilds

The message above the reels explains the trigger: a combination of biohazard Scatters awards 10 free spins with a starting multiplier of x5. The screen that follows announces “10 free spins with transformed Wilds”, and during the round a special zombie symbol turns all characters into Wilds.

Our screenshot of the round shows how strong this is. With the x5 multiplier in the corner and several survivors turned into Wilds, one spin paid 405.00, and the round total had reached 487.50 with one free spin left. SlotCatalog also lists additional free spins for this feature.

The Risk Game

After a win, the Risk button opens a gamble on a big spinning wheel with x2, x3 and other segments. In our screenshot the win was 264.00, and the player could collect it or risk it on the wheel, with the pointer resting next to a x2 segment. Collecting is always an option, so the gamble stays a free choice. The screen also showed the maximum possible winnings for the gamble: 30,000.00 at the 30.00 bet.

Bets and Maximum Win

SlotCatalog lists a betting range of 0.20 to 40 per spin. The published maximum win is 10,000 times the bet, which is most realistic in the free spins, where the x5 multiplier and the transformed Wilds work together. The feature buy costs close to 100 times the stake, so it is best kept for a bankroll that can absorb a round that pays less than it costs.
