Moon of Egypt OverviewMoon of Egypt is a compact Egyptian-themed slot from Fugaso, released on 5 September 2024. It plays on a 3x3 grid with 5 paylines, and the published figures are an RTP of 96.1%, high volatility and a maximum win of 20,000x the bet. The stake range runs from 0.10 to 15 per spin. The numbers below come from our own demo session, played at a bet of €4.00. A Temple Under the Full MoonThe small grid stands between two golden columns, with a huge full moon rising behind the logo and the dark silhouettes of a temple on either side. Cleopatra is the star of the reels, and the other symbols are the classic Egyptian set: the Eye of Horus, the ankh, the crook and flail, and a handful of coloured gem plaques. Four jackpot plaques run across the top of the screen at all times, so the prize structure is visible before the first spin. The PaytableWith only three reels, every win is a three-of-a-kind on one of the five lines, and the paytable shows a single value for each symbol. At the €4 bet Cleopatra pays €200 for three – 50x the stake. The Eye of Horus pays €120 (30x) and the ankh €80 (20x). Below them come three lower tiers worth €64, €16 and €4 – 16x, 4x and 1x the bet. The lowest tier is the one you see most often: our first capture shows three green plaques on the top row for a win of exactly €4.00. Five Lines on a Small GridThe five paylines are the three rows plus two V-shaped lines. Lines pay from the leftmost reel to the right, and only the highest win on each line is paid. That small layout makes wins easy to read. In one capture pink gems lined up across the grid for €32.00, which matches two €16 line wins. In another, Cleopatra completed a line between two matching symbols for €64.00, or 16x the bet. Cleopatra, the WildCleopatra is the wild. She substitutes for all symbols except the Bonus and Super Bonus symbols, and she is also the highest-paying symbol on her own. In the bonus round she can carry a x2 multiplier, which is where the game’s bigger numbers start to build up. Bonus and Super Bonus SymbolsThe feature is built around two special symbols. The Bonus symbol is a golden scarab coin with a cash value on it; it lands only on reels 1 and 3, and it pays only during the Running Wins game. The Super Bonus symbol is a glowing moon orb that lands only on reel 2, and it triggers the bonus feature during the Running Wins game. One of our captures shows the setup: two scarab coins worth €20.00 and €4.00 on the outer reels, with the full moon landing between them. The Running Wins RespinsOnce the feature starts, the grid switches to a respin round with a counter on the right side reading RE-SPINS 3/3. In our round, two cells carried x2 multipliers, a Cleopatra wild also showed x2, and two moon orbs held €256.00 and €224.00 – 64x and 56x the bet on their own – next to a €4.00 scarab. The total-win box still read €0.00 at that point, because the round pays out at the end. It shows how quickly the values stack: the orbs alone were already worth 120x the stake before the respins had run. The Running Wins JackpotsThe four jackpots are fixed multiples of the bet. At €4 they read MINI €100, MINOR €200, MAJOR €600 and GRAND €4,000 – 25x, 50x, 150x and 1,000x. According to the paytable, the jackpots are triggered when the matching jackpot bonus symbols appear at random during the Running Wins game. We did not land one in our session, so we can only report the values. The Published Feature ListSlotCatalog’s feature list for the game matches what the paytable describes: wilds, wilds with multipliers, a hold-and-win style bonus game with respins, bonus symbols and additive symbols. It also lists a symbol collection or energy mechanic, which fits the way the moon orbs and scarab coins gather their values during the Running Wins round. The stake range of 0.10 to 15 per spin is narrower than on most modern slots, which keeps the fixed jackpots within a clear range: at the maximum bet the GRAND plaque would be worth 15,000. The Numbers to Keep in MindA 96.1% return is right around the industry average. The volatility is rated high, and the 20,000x ceiling sits far above both the line game (50x at most) and the GRAND jackpot (1,000x), so the biggest results depend on the respin round, with its multipliers and moon orbs. In our session the base game paid regularly but in small steps – 1x, 4x, 8x and 16x results – which is what you would expect from a paytable that tops out at 50x. Who Should Play ItMoon of Egypt suits players who like simple three-reel games with a hold-and-win style bonus on top. The paytable is short, the jackpots are always on screen, and the demo above lets you see the Running Wins round before you play for real money.
