An Underwater Tackle Box

The reels float in clear green water with sunlight breaking through from above, sea grass on both sides and a sandy floor below. The premium symbols are fish – a big-eyed orange fish, a purple one and a blue-and-yellow one – and the low symbols are the familiar card ranks from 10 to A, drawn as if they were carved from wood.

Fishing hooks and coin-shaped fish carry cash values, and they are the symbols that matter most, because they drive the Hold and Win feature.

The Paytable

The ways paytable is printed in cash for the current bet. At a €6 bet the red fish pays €60 for five, €30 for four, €6 for three and €3 for two – so five red fish are worth 10x the stake. The green, purple and blue fish share a lower line: €15, €6, €3 and €1.50.

All four fish pay for just two symbols, which is less common than it sounds and keeps small wins ticking over in the base game.

The rules page explains the ways system with four small diagrams: three columns times three rows gives 3×3×3×3×3 = 243, symbols pay in any position on consecutive columns from the left, and only the highest combination for each symbol is paid.

Four Jackpots Printed Above the Reels

Four fixed prizes sit in coloured plaques above the grid, and they scale with the bet. At €100 they read MINI 2,000, MINOR 10,000, MAJOR 50,000 and MAXI 200,000 – that is 20x, 100x, 500x and 2,000x the stake.

The top plaque is worth exactly the published 2,000x maximum. In other words the MAXI jackpot is the ceiling of the game: nothing in Fishline Loot pays more than filling your way to that plaque.

The Hold and Win Feature

Cash fish trigger the feature. The grid clears, the cash fish lock in place, and the counter at the bottom shows 3 respins to land more. In every capture of the feature the counter stood at 3, which fits the usual Hold and Win rule that a new fish resets it.

In one of our rounds the grid filled with swordfish carrying values from 3.00 up to 1,500.00, with 22.50, 30.00 and 300.00 among them, while a collector on the left side of the screen showed 150.00. The counter at the bottom read SPINS LEFT: 3 – a new fish had just reset it.

A second round we captured ended with the whole grid full of swordfish and a combined figure of 1,545.00 in the middle of the screen. In that round the plaques read MINI 300, MINOR 1,500, MAJOR 7,500 and MAXI 30,000 – the same 20x, 100x, 500x and 2,000x ladder at a base bet of €15.

That capture also shows the bet field at €1,500, and an earlier one at €750, both while the plaques still matched a €15 base. The most likely reading is that those were the prices of bought features – 50x and 100x the base bet – but the game did not label them, so treat that as our interpretation.

HyperBET and Buy Bonus

The left side of the screen carries two controls that change the game. HyperBET has its own up and down arrows and changes the stake level of the base game. Buy Bonus sits at the bottom left and lets you pay to go straight into Hold and Win.

Kalamba uses the same pattern across several of its Hold and Win games, and it gives you a clear choice between a normal session and a faster, more expensive one.

What the Session Did

Our biggest base-game line in the captures was a €120.00 win on the €100 bet – 1.2x – with a coin fish worth 50.00 sitting on the fifth reel. That is typical of a 243-ways game: frequent small returns in the base game, with the real money reserved for the feature.

The balance moved from €10,510 at the start of the captures to €9,767.50 and €8,972.50 during the feature rounds, and stood at €12,058 by the end of the session.

The Numbers to Keep in Mind

A 93.92% return is below the industry average of around 96%, and it is worth knowing before you play. The 2,000x ceiling is modest as well. Neither SlotCatalog nor Kalamba’s public data gives a volatility rating that we could confirm, so we leave that field empty rather than guess.

What the game offers in return is transparency: the four jackpot plaques always show their current cash value for your bet, so you know exactly what the feature can pay before you trigger it.
