The Symbols

The ladybird scatter pays €26.00 for three, €12.00 for two and €6.00 for one. A further line at the foot of the paytable covers a combination of the three flower colours, but its value is cut off in our capture, so we do not quote it.

The spread is tight. The best line pays under eight times what the smallest insect pays, and nothing on the table reaches more than ten times the stake. Any larger result has to come from several lines landing together or from the multiplier in the bonus.

Eight Lines in Three Directions

A three-by-three grid usually carries five lines: three rows and two diagonals. Butterfly Classic adds the three columns as well. The rules say it plainly: symbols pay left to right on horizontal lines, and top to bottom on vertical lines.

That makes the vertical lines the game’s most distinctive feature. A reel that stops showing three matching symbols is a win on its own, before the rest of the grid is even considered.

The diagonals work as usual. One of our captures shows it clearly: three red flowers from the top left to the bottom right corner paid exactly €46.00, the paytable value for the red flower.

The rules also note that scatter wins are paid independently of the lines and added to any line wins on the same spin.

What the Spins Paid

Our base game captures show wins of €26.00, €40.00, €46.00 and €66.00 on the €20.00 bet – between 1.3x and 3.3x. The balance started at €4,979.90 and moved in small steps from there.

These are typical of the game. With eight lines and a flat paytable, most wins land somewhere between one and four times the stake, and the balance drifts rather than jumps.

The Free Spins Bonus

There is no scatter-count trigger for the bonus. According to the rules, the BONUS FEATURE is randomly triggered during the main game and awards 5 free spins with a multiplier of x2, x3 or x4.

When it lands, the reels give way to a large purple butterfly spread across the whole grid over a field of daisies, and the multiplier appears in gold at the bottom. In our capture it was the top value, x4, and the MULTIPLIER signpost on the left changed to show the same figure.

Five spins is a short round, but the multiplier applies to every win in it. At x4, a three-butterfly line on a €20 bet would be worth €800 – forty times the stake – which is the kind of result the base game cannot produce on a single line.
