Wings of Liberty Overview

Wings of Liberty is a five-reel, three-row video slot from Caleta Gaming with 40 fixed paylines and a published RTP of 93.17%. It was released on 8 December 2024, and the in-game rules screen prints the same 93.17% figure in its footer.

That return is worth stating plainly before anything else: it sits well below the 96% that most current releases aim for. Caleta does not publish a volatility rating or a maximum win for the game, and neither figure appears in the rules, so we leave both out rather than guess.

All the amounts quoted below were read from demo play at a €200 total bet, which works out to €5 per line across the 40 lines.

An American Night Sky

The theme is patriotic Americana done at full volume. The reels sit on a deep blue panel scattered with white stars, framed by a night-time city skyline, the Statue of Liberty glowing on the left and a waving Stars and Stripes on the right. Fireworks burst above the logo between spins.

The premium symbols are the icons you would expect: a bald eagle draped in the flag, the Liberty Bell, an Uncle Sam top hat, a bundle of firework rockets and a marching drum. A red, white and blue star sits one step below them, and the royals from A down to 10 are dressed in the same colour scheme.

The wild is a gold shield carrying the Statue of Liberty, and the scatter is a winged Freedom Spins emblem.

The Paytable

The rules screen lists every payout in euros at the current stake, which makes it easy to read. At €200 total bet, five eagles pay €2,500, four pay €625 and three pay €125. The eagle is the only symbol that reaches that level.

The Liberty Bell and the top hat share the next rung at €1,500 for five, though the bell pays more for four (€500 against €375). The rockets and the drum both pay €1,250 for five, €250 for four and €75 for three.

The star pays €1,000 for five and €150 for four. A, K and Q each pay €750, €150 and €50, while J and 10 pay €500, €100 and €25.

Put in terms of the whole bet, the best line in the game – five eagles – is worth 12.5x the stake, and the cheapest five-of-a-kind is 2.5x. The rules add that only the highest win is paid on each line, and that all wins are multiplied by the per-line bet.

The gap between the top and bottom of the table is narrow. The eagle pays five times what the jack and ten pay for five of a kind, which is a flatter ladder than most 40-line games use, and it means a busy screen of royals can matter almost as much as a single premium line.

How the Lines Work

All 40 lines are fixed and pay left to right from the leftmost reel. The paylines chart in the rules shows the usual mix of straight rows, V shapes and zigzags, and the base game frequently lights up several of them at once from a single cluster of matching symbols.

That is exactly what the demo produced. One spin landed €700 (3.5x) from a wild on reel two joining a row of stars and royals across multiple lines. Another paid €300 from top hats, and a third paid €225 when a wild on reel three completed a string of jacks and tens.

Expanding Wilds

The Statue of Liberty wild substitutes for the paying symbols, and the slotcatalog listing names expanding symbols among the game’s features. In the free spins we captured, the wild appeared stacked on the first three reels, filling whole columns and connecting across a large share of the 40 lines at once.

That stacking is where the game’s bigger results come from. A single paying symbol on reel four next to three wild columns is enough to complete almost every line that passes through it.

In the base game the wild is less generous. In our captures it landed as single shields on reels two, three and four, and each time it simply bridged a line of mixed royals rather than filling a column.

Freedom Spins

The free spins round is called Freedom Spins. It is triggered by the winged scatter emblems, and the award screen we captured granted 15 free spins.

The round runs on the same reels with a red-lit backdrop and fireworks, and a counter below the grid tracks the spins remaining. With 14 of the 15 spins still to play, three full wild reels lined up with coins and drums on reels four and five for a single hit of €6,475 – about 32x the bet in one spin.

The emblem that triggers the round also appears on the base reels as a winged Freedom Spins badge. One of our base spins showed a single badge on reel five alongside a €225 win, a reminder that the scatter can land without completing the trigger.

Buying drops three gold Buy-In shields onto reels two to four to trigger the round. Our purchase took the demo balance from €6,075 down to €380, and the finished round paid €7,800 in total – 39x the bet and about 1.37 times what the round cost.

That is one result, not an average. With a 93.17% return overall, the bought feature should be treated as a way to see the round quickly, not as value in itself.

The slotcatalog listing gives a bet range of 0.40 to 280, which fits the 40-line structure at one cent per line up to seven per line. The bottom bar shows balance, total bet with plus and minus buttons, a stake selector, the lines count, the last win and an Instant quick-spin toggle.

Every paying combination runs left to right on adjacent reels from the leftmost reel. There is no ways-to-win option and no adjustable line count: the lines counter in the bottom bar stays fixed at 40.
