Santa the Slayer Overview

Santa the Slayer is a dark Christmas slot from Mancala Gaming, released on 14 December 2023. Mancala calls it “Santa’s Secret Slay Ride”: Santa is recast as a sword-carrying monster hunter, and the game runs on five reels and three rows with 20 fixed paylines that pay from left to right. SlotCatalog lists a 95% RTP and a maximum win of 5,082x the bet; no volatility rating is published.

A Darker Christmas

The reels sit in a wooden frame covered in snow, with a frozen mountain landscape behind and coloured lanterns hanging from the corners. The game’s description lists the villains Santa faces – Jack Frost, Krampus and Frau Perchta among them – and the high symbols on the reels are a gallery of grim faces: a green goblin, a pale hooded figure, a horned reindeer-man and a snow golem. The low symbols are card royals from J to A in red and blue.

Santa himself appears on the Buy Bonus screen: white-bearded, scarred and holding two crossed blades against a snowy sky. It is a long way from the usual sleigh-and-presents Christmas slot.

Wilds With Multipliers

According to the game rules, the base-game wilds carry multipliers: a single 1x1 wild doubles the win of every payline it is part of (x2), while a taller 2x1 wild triples it (x3).
