How we rate games

Every slot is scored on the same four criteria, using the game's published data: RTP (40%), maximum win potential (25%), bonus features described in our review (30%) and how recent the release is (5%). Our editors can adjust a score after playing the game. Missing data counts as neutral. The score reflects the game's numbers and features, not your chances of winning; slots are games of chance, so please play responsibly.

Fire Stars Overview

Fire Stars is a classic fruit slot from the TipTop studio, distributed by Fazi, released on 10 July 2023. It uses a 5x4 grid with 40 fixed paylines – the red 40 markers stand on both sides of the reels – and SlotCatalog lists a 96% RTP and medium volatility.

Symbols

The reels hold the traditional fruit set: cherries, lemons, oranges, plums, grapes and watermelons, with the red 7 as the top regular symbol. The golden star is the scatter – in our session a pair of stars paid on their own, without forming a line.

What Our Spins Paid

  • At a $20 bet, a screen crowded with grapes, with two stars in view, ran up a win of $1,030 (51.5x).
  • Also at $20, cherries on several lines added up to $310 (15.5x), with a 7 waiting on reel 5.
  • At a $6 bet, two stars on reels 1 and 4 paid a small scatter win of $3 – half the stake back.

The first result shows how a 4-row grid behaves: when the same fruit fills most of the screen it completes many of the 40 lines at once, and the payouts stack up quickly.

Design

The frame is pure retro: a gold background, a flaming FIRE STARS logo above the reels and a red-and-gold light column on either side, marked with the line count. The fruit are drawn large and glossy on a pale grey reel strip, so every symbol can be read at a glance even on a small screen. With four rows instead of three, each spin shows 20 symbols, which is what lets the 40 lines zig-zag across the grid.

How to Play

The layout is kept simple. The bet selector (− / +) sits at the bottom left, stepping between values such as the 6.00 and 20.00 stakes in our screenshots, the balance next to it and the win display in the centre; the large button on the right spins, and an AUTO option is available. There is no bonus round in the screenshots – the game is built around the lines and the star scatter.

Who It Is For

Fire Stars is for fans of plain fruit machines who want a bigger grid than the usual 5x3. It has no feature to wait for, only fast spins, and the chance of a full screen of one fruit.
