How we rate games

Every slot is scored on the same four criteria, using the game's published data: RTP (40%), maximum win potential (25%), bonus features described in our review (30%) and how recent the release is (5%). Our editors can adjust a score after playing the game. Missing data counts as neutral. The score reflects the game's numbers and features, not your chances of winning; slots are games of chance, so please play responsibly.

Phoenix Kingdom Extra Burst Overview

Phoenix Kingdom Extra Burst™ is a fantasy slot from Wizard Games, the in-house studio of Pariplay. Slotcatalog lists its release date as 5 September 2025. The game is built around four coloured phoenixes and a Hold N Spin Bonus – a Hold and Spin respin round with coins, four fixed jackpots and, at its best, a second set of reels.

The game plays on 5 reels and 3 rows with 40 fixed paylines, and wins pay on adjacent reels starting from the leftmost reel. The game help shows an RTP of 95.99%, which slotcatalog lists as the top version of the RTP range, and a hit rate of 36.88%. The volatility is medium – three dots out of five in the help table. Slotcatalog gives a max win of 2,569x the bet, while the rules set a win cap of 10,000x the bet per game round. Bets run from 0.10 to 180 per spin.

Theme and Graphics

The reels stand in a dark red frame guarded by two bird statues, in front of a castle at night with glowing red windows and a calm sea in the background. Above the reels sit four large phoenix eggs wrapped in flames – red, purple, blue and green – each above its own label: Cashier, Multiplier, Collector and Double. The four jackpots are shown on the left side of the screen. When the bonus starts, the night turns into a burning landscape and the eggs hatch into bright phoenixes.

Symbols and Paytable

The paytable has four high symbols and five low symbols. The high symbols are the four phoenixes: red, purple, green and blue. The low symbols are the card ranks A, K, Q, J and 10, drawn in bright colours with golden edges. All of them pay for 3, 4 or 5 of a kind on a payline. At a bet of 20, the paytable showed 100 for five red phoenixes, the best line win in the game, and 20 for five 10s at the bottom.

Only the highest win per line is paid, and wins on different lines are added together. There is no Wild and no free spins round in this game – all the extra value comes from the coins.

Phoenix Coins and Collectors

Four kinds of Phoenix Coins can land on the reels: red, purple, blue and green. Each one flies up to the collector of the same colour above the reels, and the egg grows as it collects. Phoenix Coins can also appear as multi-coloured coins that count for more than one collector. The rules are honest about this part: the growing eggs are for visual entertainment only and do not influence the trigger. Any combination of Phoenix Coins on the reels may start the bonus.

Hold N Spin Bonus

The bonus starts with 5 Bonus Coins on the grid and the Phoenix features that triggered it. Only Bonus Coins, Phoenix Coins and Jackpot Coins can land during the respins. All coins stay sticky, and every new coin resets the number of respins to 3. Bonus Coins are worth 0.5x, 1x, 1.5x, 2x, 2.5x, 3x, 4x or 5x the total bet. The round ends when no respins remain or all the positions are full, and the values of all coins are then added together and paid.

The Four Phoenix Features

Each colour has its own job in the respins:

  • Cashier (red): each Cashier coin awards a random value of 5x, 6x, 7x, 8x or 9x the bet, or a Jackpot Coin, except the Grand,
  • Multiplier (purple): multiplies all other coins on its reel by 2x and then turns into a random coin value,
  • Collector (blue): collects the values of all other coins on the grid,
  • Double (green): adds a second 5x3 reel set with 5 Bonus Coins and the other active Phoenix features.

A Phoenix Coin whose feature is not active simply turns into a Bonus Coin. If the bonus is triggered with the Double feature, it starts on two reel sets right away.

Jackpots

There are four fixed jackpots: Mini 10x, Minor 50x, Major 250x and Grand 2,000x the total bet. At a bet of 20, the panel showed 200, 1,000, 5,000 and 40,000. The Mini, Minor and Major come from Jackpot Coins. The Grand is paid when all 15 positions of a reel set are filled, and a counter under the reels shows how many coins are still missing. If both reel sets are full, the Grand is awarded twice.

Our Demo Session

We played at a bet of 20. The base game gave small line wins, such as 16 with red phoenixes and 14 with Kings. The bonus came three times in our session. The first one started with the Collector: a blue coin worth 110 sat among seven other coins and a Mini jackpot coin, the total above the reels showed 440, and the counter said 7 more to win the Grand.

The second bonus started with the Multiplier and the Collector together. This time the grid filled up much better: two blue Collector coins showed 400 and 200, and only 2 positions were missing for the Grand with 3 respins left. The third bonus came with the Cashier. Two red coins showed 320 and 280, a Mini coin carried an x2 mark, and at the last respin just 1 coin was missing for the Grand – so close, but the last position stayed empty.

How the Game Feels

The base game is simple and quite quiet, and the line wins are small compared to the bet. The real game happens in the respins. We liked that the bonus is different every time, because it depends on which phoenix starts it. The Collector alone is modest, but two features together can fill the grid fast. The counter for the Grand adds real tension in the last respins.

Who Should Play It

Phoenix Kingdom Extra Burst is for players who like Hold and Win games with coins and fixed jackpots more than free spins. The medium volatility and the high hit rate make it friendly for longer sessions. If you want Wilds, multipliers on line wins or a bonus buy, this is not your game. Try the free demo first.
