Octopus Legend Overview

Octopus Legend is a fish shooting game from KA Gaming, released on 24 January 2024. There are no reels here: you sit at a cannon at the bottom of an underwater arena, fire at the sea creatures swimming past, and every creature you bring down pays a prize. Choose a Room

The game starts with a choice of three rooms, each with its own bet range:

The Controls

A help screen explains the four buttons around the cannon:

The Sea Creatures

The arena is full of life: clownfish, blue tangs, red shrimps and lobsters, jellyfish, turtles, manta rays and sharks. Some of them are golden – golden sharks, a golden whale, a golden manta and a golden turtle – and these are the ones the big prizes come from. The octopus of the title appears as a large boss creature, and three treasure chests hang in a frame at the top of the screen.

How a Shooting Game Pays

If you are used to slots, the logic here is different. Every shot costs your bet, whether it hits or not, and a creature only pays when it is brought down. Small fish fall quickly but pay little; the large and golden creatures take more hits and pay much more. The prize is shown on the screen at the spot where the creature falls, so you always see what each target was worth.

That makes the choice of target part of the game. Lock Target lets you stay on one creature instead of spraying shots across the screen, and the Power Weapon costs more per shot but hits harder – useful when a golden creature is already damaged.
