The reels sit on a deep blue background with a starry sky, under a huge golden X crackling with lightning and the “Mega Thunder” logo. Four jackpot plaques frame the logo – Grand and Minor on the left, Major and Mini on the right – and a star-shaped Bonus button sits in the bottom left corner.

The symbols are pure fruit machine: a golden bell, a gold BAR, a watermelon, grapes, an orange, a lemon, a plum and cherries. Gold coins carry cash values, and blue Boost coins with a ring of lightning collect them.

The Paytable

At a bet of €25 the paytable shows these values for five, four and three of a kind:

The rules describe a wild that “appears only on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5” and “substitutes for all symbols except BONUS, BOOST and JACKPOT symbols”, and it only appears in the main game. Five bells or BARs pay 50x the bet.

Five Lines And A Four-Reel Wild

With only five lines, every line passes through all five reels, and the wild can appear on four of them. That means a matching symbol on the first reel is all a line needs to get started – the wild can fill in on any of the other reels. The fruits pay modestly, but a single wild in the right spot can turn a two-symbol near miss into a proper three- or four-of-a-kind win.

Line Wins

Every line win in our screenshots matches the paytable. At a bet of €40, three lemons along the bottom row paid €40 – the €25 value scaled up to the higher stake. In another spin at €40, lemons on the top and middle rows formed two lines for €80.

Boost Coins Collect

The coins are where Mega Thunder gets interesting, because the Boost coin collects them even in the base game. Our screenshots show it twice:

In both cases the Boost coin’s value was exactly the sum of the gold coins on the grid – 4x and 12x the bet. Without a Boost coin, gold coins simply stay on the reels, as in a spin where two €40 coins landed next to a lemon win.

Jackpots That Scale With The Bet

Our screenshots at two bets show that the jackpots follow the stake. At €40 the plaques read Grand €40,000, Major €4,000, Minor €1,200 and Mini €600. At €25 they read €25,000, €2,500, €750 and €375 – in both cases 1,000x, 100x, 30x and 15x the bet.

The Respin Bonus

The bonus is a respin round on the same grid, with dark purple tiles and five golden X slots above the reels. Coins lock in place, a Re-spins counter shows the spins left, and the Grand plaque carried a small 5X label, which suggests that filling the X slots is linked to the top jackpot.

Our round at a bet of €75 ended with 0 re-spins and ten coins on the grid – values of €25, €50 and €75 – with one of the five X slots lit. The total win banner read €150.

Our screenshots at €25, €40 and €75 with Running Spins show that everything scales with the stake.
