Alexander's Fortune Overview

Alexander's Fortune is a historical slot from Amigo Gaming, released in July 2024. Alexander the Great leads the way across a 5x3 grid with 25 fixed paylines, set against a sun-baked ancient city of towers, palms and desert hills. Amigo Gaming rates the volatility as medium-high and gives a maximum multiplier of x1,400 – the same figure the game shows on its own ticker as “WIN UP TO X1400”. Stakes run from 0.25 to 25 per spin. Amigo Gaming does not list an RTP on its own game page.

The game has three features: free games with big symbols, a Pin Win bonus with four jackpots, and a wild that stands in for the regular symbols. Everything below comes from the paytable and from our own demo rounds.

The Paytable

We played at a stake of 2,500 coins, and the paytable shows the values at that bet. Converted into multiples of the stake:

• Wild (Macedonian phalanx): 50,000 / 10,000 / 2,500 for five, four and three – 20x, 4x and 1x
• Alexander: 25,000 for five – 10x
• Persian king: 15,000 / 7,500 / 1,500 – 6x, 3x, 0.6x

• A: 3,000 / 1,000 / 500 – 1.2x, 0.4x, 0.2x

The wild is the most valuable symbol on the reels, worth twice as much as Alexander himself. It appears as a band of marching soldiers with a golden WILD label; in one of our spins two of them landed side by side on the bottom row of the first two reels.

25 Paylines

The lines screen shows all 25 patterns: the three straight rows, V shapes, zig-zags and several lines that step through the middle row. Wins pay from left to right, and the lines are fixed, so every spin plays all 25.

What Our Spins Showed

The base game paid in small steps. One spin paid 3,500 on four lines – 1.4x the stake – with the two wilds on the bottom row feeding several lines at once. Another landed three temple scatters, and one of them showed 2,500 on its face: exactly 1x the stake, paid on top of the line wins. The ticker explains the trigger: “3 or more scatter symbols” start the free games.

Free Games With Big Symbols

The three scatters opened the bonus with the message “5 free games with big symbols”. During the round the middle of the grid can be filled by a single giant symbol that covers several reels at once; in one screenshot the queen took up a full 3x3 block in the centre of the reels. Slotcatalog lists the feature as a 3x3 mega symbol.

The payoff came on the last spin. On free game 5/5 the grid filled with Ks, the game announced “5 of a kind!”, and the round total stood at 103,500 – about 41x the stake. A big symbol that covers the three middle reels turns every line through it into a winning line at once, which is how a modest card symbol produced the biggest win of our session.

The free games background changes too: the desert city gives way to a moonlit coast with a Greek temple and ships in the harbour.

The Pin Win Bonus

The game’s ticker spells out the other trigger: “6 or more shields trigger the Pin Win”. Amigo Gaming’s own description adds that the bonus symbols stay sticky throughout the round. Four jackpot plaques sit above the grid, and at our 2,500 stake they read:

• Ultra: 2,500,000 – 1,000x
• Max: 125,000 – 50x
• Mid: 87,500 – 35x
• Min: 50,000 – 20x

Three hearts in the top-left corner show the round’s remaining spins. Our round started with a “You won Pin Win bonus” banner and a row of 2,500 orbs, and it grew until 13 of the 15 positions were filled. The orbs carried values of 2,500, 5,000, 10,000 and 12,500 – between 1x and 5x the stake each – and the collected total stood at 60,000, or 24x, with two empty spaces left.

How the Wins Scale With the Stake

All values in the paytable, on the orbs and on the jackpot plaques are shown in coins for the current bet, so they move with the stake. The multiples stay the same: three wilds are always 1x, five Persian kings always 6x, the Min jackpot always 20x and the Ultra always 1,000x. At the 0.25 minimum the Ultra is worth 250; at the 25 maximum it is 25,000. That makes the game easy to read at any level – divide the number on screen by your bet and you have the multiple.

What SlotCatalog Adds

SlotCatalog dates the release to 21 July 2024 and lists the same 25 lines, medium-high variance and x1,400 maximum as Amigo Gaming. Its feature list also includes additional free spins, respins and a multiplier, and it names the big symbol as a 3x3 mega symbol, which matches what we saw in the free games. It gives no RTP either, so the published figures are consistent across both sources.

Where the Top Prize Sits

The Ultra jackpot is worth 1,000x on its own, which is most of the way to the x1,400 ceiling. A full Pin Win board, with the Ultra and a set of high orbs, is therefore the route to the maximum – the base game and free games work in smaller numbers.

The Controls

The interface is simple: a large gold spin button on the right, a menu and turbo button beside it, the balance on the left and the bet on the right of the bottom bar. The current number of winning lines and the total win appear in the middle, under a small “Lines played” counter.

Graphics and Setting

The symbols are painted portraits in coloured frames: a young Alexander in red and bronze, a bearded Persian king in a red turban, a grey-haired philosopher in purple and a woman in an orange robe on a green background. The letters are cut from gold, and the logo in the top-left corner is set in the same metal. The Pin Win round moves indoors to a hall of stone columns lit by gold.
