A Temple in the Jungle

The grid is set into a carved stone temple wall, with jungle leaves around it and two painted totem heads on either side, each carrying a bowl of tropical fruit. The symbols are Maya-inspired: a chief in a feathered headdress, a woman with a feathered crown, a young warrior, a red stone mask and a purple jade mask, with A, K, Q, J and 10 carved in coloured stone as the low symbols.

The chief is the wild, marked “WILD” under his portrait. A small SCATTER counter sits above the middle of the grid.

The scene changes when the free spins start: the jungle darkens, the fruit bowls on the totems are replaced by burning braziers, and the multiplier frame above the grid lights up. It is an easy signal that the bonus, where most of this game's value lives, is under way.

The panel under the grid shows a BET PER WAY control with plus and minus buttons; in our session it read 0.25 with a total bet of 15.00, and the balance and total bet sit on the right. SlotCatalog lists the bet range as $0.60 to $120. All paytable values scale with the bet, so the proportions in the table above stay the same at any stake.

Before any feature, the base-game balance in our session stood at 9,670.50, and the first few spins show how small the individual pays are: the lowest three-of-a-kind way is worth just 0.50 at this stake, one thirtieth of the bet.

1,024 Ways and Cascades

With four rows on five reels there are 4 × 4 × 4 × 4 × 4 = 1,024 ways. Winning symbols are removed after each win, new ones fall into the gaps, and a new win can follow – SlotCatalog calls this the Combo & Cascade mechanic.

Our captures show how a chain adds up. One spin paid 1.00 and the cascade after it added 2.50, for a total of 3.50. Another chain delivered 47.50, then 21.75, then 50.00 as warriors and masks kept landing, and the win meter for that spin reached 267.75 – nearly 18x the bet from a single paid spin.

Golden Frames

During the cascades some symbols appear inside golden frames. In our captures the framed positions stayed highlighted as the chain went on, and the chief wild appeared among them on the later cascades. The game does not spell out the rule on screen, so we describe only what we saw.

Free Spins and the Multiplier

In the free spins, the frame above the grid shows a multiplier next to the scatter counter, and a counter on the left shows the spins left. The multiplier grew during our round: one cascade paid 150.00 at x6, and near the end of the round a win was multiplied by x16, adding 240.00.

The difference comes from two sources working together: cascades that stack several wins into one spin, and a free-spins multiplier that had already climbed to x16 by the end of our round. A 240.00 win at x16, for example, is a 15.00 cascade before the multiplier – exactly one bet.
