Hell's Cherries Overview

Hell's Cherries is a classic fruit slot from CT Interactive, released on 1 October 2025. It keeps things deliberately small: a 3x3 grid, 5 fixed paylines and a maximum win of 500x the bet, with bets from $0.05 to $200 according to SlotCatalog. CT Interactive does not publish an RTP or volatility rating for the game, so we leave both open rather than guess.

The numbers below come from our own demo session, played at a total bet of 10.00 – a line bet of 2.00 on each of the five lines.

A Fruit Machine in Flames

The reels sit in a black frame lit with neon, in front of a red background that swirls like smoke. The symbols are the ones you expect on a fruit machine – sevens, BARs, bells, watermelons, plums, oranges, lemons, pears and cherries – but every one of them is drawn as if it were on fire, with glowing edges and small flames around the fruit.

The panels on either side of the grid count the five lines, and the LINES and FIXED labels are a reminder that you cannot switch any of them off.

Five Lines on a 3x3 Grid

With only nine positions, the five lines are easy to picture: the three rows plus the two diagonals. The watermelon win in our session ran along a diagonal, and the orange and cherry wins were on line 2, one of the rows.

The layout gives the centre position a special weight. It sits on the middle row and on both diagonals, so a single symbol there can take part in three of the five lines at once – and a wild 77 in the middle helps more combinations than a wild anywhere else.

Line Bet and Total Bet

The panel under the reels shows the LINE BET (2.00 in our session) and the TOTAL BET (10.00). Because all five lines are always active, the total is always five times the line bet, and every value in the paytable scales with the line bet you choose. The coin value in the corner of the demo read 0.01 FUN.

After each winning spin the message bar names the line and the symbols that paid, for example “LINE 2: cherries = 20.00”, so it is always clear where a win came from.

The Red 77 Is Wild

The red 77 does two jobs. It is the top symbol in the paytable, and it is also the wild – “77 IS WILD” is written above the reels, and the paytable adds that it substitutes for all other symbols.

That matters on a grid this small. In one of our spins, two sevens on the diagonal combined with a watermelon in the bottom corner, and the line paid 400.00 – exactly the watermelon's three-of-a-kind value. In another, a seven on each side of an orange on line 2 paid 100.00, the orange's full value.

The Paytable

All wins need three of a kind on a line. At a line bet of 2.00 the paytable reads:

  • 77: 1,000.00
  • BAR: 500.00
  • Watermelon: 400.00
  • Bells: 200.00
  • Pears, plums and the single orange: 100.00
  • Lemons, the pair of oranges and cherries: 20.00

Measured against the 10.00 total bet, three sevens on one line are worth 100x, the watermelon 40x and the bells 20x.

How the 500x Ceiling Works

The published maximum of 500x follows directly from the paytable. A screen full of sevens pays 1,000.00 on each of the five lines, which is 5,000.00 on a 10.00 bet – 500 times the stake. Nothing else in the game multiplies a win, so a full screen of the wild is the ceiling.

The Gamble Feature

After a win you can take it to the gamble screen. A face-down card sits in the middle, the last ten cards are shown at the top, and there are two ways to bet on it:

  • Color gamble: red or black, which doubles the win (x2);
  • Suit gamble: one of the four suits, which quadruples it (x4).

A 1/2 button lets you gamble only half of the win and bank the rest. In our session a gamble ended with YOU WIN! and 160.00 on the win meter after the ten of clubs was drawn.

What the Session Showed

The smallest win we saw was a line of cherries on line 2 – a seven and two cherries – for 20.00 (2x). The balance moved between 99,820 and 100,229.85 during the session, with the watermelon diagonal and the orange line doing most of the work.

Who Should Play It

Hell's Cherries suits players who like old-school fruit machines: three reels, five lines, one wild and a card gamble, with nothing hidden behind bonus rounds. The ceiling is modest, but every win is easy to read from the paytable.

CT Interactive also has a 40 Hell's Cherries version with more lines; it is a separate game.
