Book Of Skulls – Uncharted Treasure

Book of Skulls – Uncharted Treasure Overview

Book of Skulls – Uncharted Treasure is a pirate-themed book slot from Spinomenal, released on 30 July 2023. It follows the classic formula: five reels, three rows and 10 fixed paylines, with stakes from 0.10 to 100 per spin and an RTP of 93.96%.

Spinomenal’s demo server no longer launches this title, so there is no free demo on this page. Everything below comes from our screenshots and the published figures.

A Shipwreck at Sea

The reels float in front of a wrecked sailing ship on a grey, stormy sea, with a ship’s lantern hanging on each side of the grid. The premium symbols are four pirate portraits – a bearded captain at the ship’s wheel, a woman in a wide-brimmed hat, a pirate in a red bandana and a female buccaneer – and the lower tier is the card set, drawn in dark metal with small crowns.

The Paytable

The game’s paytable lists the payouts as multiples of the line bet:

• The captain: 10 for two, 100 for three, 1,000 for four and 5,000 for five.
• The woman in the hat: 5 / 40 / 400 / 2,000.
• The bandana pirate and the buccaneer: 5 / 30 / 100 / 750.
• A and K: 5 / 40 / 150 for three to five.
• Q and J: 5 / 25 / 100.

The Book of Skulls

The book, a leather tome with a skull and crossbones on its cover, is both the wild and the scatter. One of our base-game screenshots shows it landing on the first reel during a 200 win at a total bet of 100.

Free Spins and the Symbol Wheel

The feature awards 10 free spins, and here the expanding symbol is picked in a small bonus game of its own. The trigger screen says: “Spin the wheel to determine which symbol will be the expanding symbol for the free spins round.” The wheel is a single tall reel next to a SPIN button, loaded with the game’s symbols; in our round it stopped on the 10.

That symbol then stays the same for all ten spins. Whenever it lands on enough reels, it fills them and pays on every line, even if the reels are not next to each other.

What the Round Paid

At a total bet of 20, a spin with 5 free spins left paid a Big Win of 210 (10.5x), and the win meter stood at 470 – 23.5x the bet.

Buying the Feature

The Buy Feature panel offers “Trigger 10 free spins with a random expanding symbol”. At a bet of 20 the price was 2,080, which is 104x the bet.

The Maximum Win

SlotCatalog does not list a maximum win, but the game’s own artwork promises wins of up to 500,000. At the top stake of 100 that is 5,000x the bet, and it matches the paytable: five captains pay 5,000 times the line bet, and an expanding captain covering all five reels pays that on all ten lines at once.

The same 104x buy price and 5,000x ceiling appear in Spinomenal’s five-reel Book of Trojan Tales and Book of Demi Gods V.

RTP and Volatility

The 93.96% RTP is low for a modern slot, and SlotCatalog marks the game with RTP ranges, so the version at your casino may differ. No volatility rating is published.

Who It Is For

Book of Skulls – Uncharted Treasure suits players who like the traditional book format with one expanding symbol for the whole round. The symbol wheel adds a moment of suspense before the spins begin; the low RTP is the main drawback.
