Fortune Gems 3 Overview

Fortune Gems 3 is the third game in TaDa Gaming’s gem series, released on 17 May 2024. The formula is deliberately small: a 3x3 grid with 5 fixed paylines, and next to it an extra fourth reel that carries nothing but win multipliers. SlotCatalog lists an RTP of 97.13%, medium volatility and a maximum win of 10,125x the bet, with stakes from 0.10 to 100.

The Grid and the Symbols

The reels stand in a carved stone gateway, with a temple and a jungle sunset behind them. The four paying pictures are the golden Garuda mask and three gems – a red ruby, a blue sapphire and a green emerald – and the lower tier is made of stone-carved card letters.

The game’s own paytable, shown in our screenshots, prices a line of three:

  • Garuda – 25x the line bet
  • Red gem – 20x
  • Blue gem – 15x
  • Green gem – 10x

The Garuda is also the wild, and our screenshots show it stacked on the third reel, finishing lines of letters and gems alike.

The Multiplier Reel

The fourth reel, headed WIN MULTIPLIER, spins with the others, and the value that stops in its highlighted middle window multiplies every win on that spin. In the standard mode our screenshots show values of 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x and 10x on the strip. A spin that shows no line win simply ignores it, so the reel only matters when the grid pays.

How the Payouts Add Up

The line bet is the total bet divided by the five lines, so a bet of 30 means 6 per line. The screenshots confirm the arithmetic exactly:

  • Three red gems on the bottom line, with 1x in the window: 20 x 6 = 120 (4x the bet).
  • Two lines of emeralds completed by a stacked Garuda on reel 3: 2 x 60 = 120, doubled by a 2x multiplier to 240 (8x).
  • A column of Qs next to a stacked Garuda paid 150 (5x) at 1x.

Extra Bets Mode

The EX button at the bottom left switches on Extra Bets. In our session it lifted the stake from 30 to 45 – 50% more – while the line bet stayed at 6. What changes is the multiplier reel: with the mode on, an EX tag appears next to the window and the strip shows bigger values, including 15x.

The numbers again line up. With Extra Bets on, a single line of emeralds (10 x 6 = 60) landed under a 3x multiplier and paid 180. So the extra 50% buys better multipliers, not bigger line wins – a trade that only pays off when a strong multiplier meets a win.

Split Symbols

SlotCatalog lists splitting symbols among the features, and the screenshots show them: some reel positions hold two smaller icons stacked in one cell, such as a pair of rubies or a pair of Ks. They appeared on our Extra Bets spins and make the grid look busier than its nine cells suggest.

One of our Extra Bets spins shows the effect. Split Ks, a Garuda wild and several letters combined for a grid win of 216, and a 3x multiplier turned it into 648 – 14.4x the 45 bet, from a board with no premium gem on it at all.

Bet Settings

The stake is set with the chip button under the reels, and the published range runs from 0.10 to 100 per spin. Because the line bet is always a fifth of the total, it is easy to translate the paytable into cash: at a bet of 30, a Garuda line is worth 150 before any multiplier, a red gem line 120, a blue one 90 and a green one 60. With Extra Bets on, the same wins cost 45 per spin instead of 30.

Next to the spin button sits a lightning icon for faster play, and the hints under the button read “Tap to autoplay” and “Hold for setting”, so the game can run as quickly as its tiny grid invites.

Theme and Presentation

The look is a lavish take on a Southeast Asian temple. Every gem sits in its own ornate gold frame, the Garuda mask glows with red jewels, and winning symbols light up in gold while the rest of the grid dims. The win amount appears on a carved red plaque across the middle of the reels, and the multiplier reel on the right is framed in dark red with each value set in a gem-shaped medallion – green, blue and purple – so the value that stops in the window is impossible to miss.

The balance, bet and win counters sit along the bottom in the same stone-and-gold style, with the TaDa logo on the spin button.

The Paylines

The rules screen describes the game as “a 3x3 slot machine with an additional special reel” with 5 fixed paylines paying from left to right: the three horizontal rows and the two diagonals. With so few lines, most wins are easy to read at a glance, and the multiplier window tells you straight away what the spin is worth.

RTP, Volatility and Max Win

An RTP of 97.13% is well above the usual 96% mark. Volatility is medium, which fits what we saw: frequent small line wins, with the multiplier reel deciding which of them turn into something bigger. The 10,125x ceiling needs a full screen of top symbols under the highest multiplier.

How It Compares

TaDa has kept the same idea across the series – a compact grid plus a dedicated multiplier reel. If you enjoy this layout, Fortune Gems 500 is another take on the same gem theme from the studio.

Who It Is For

Fortune Gems 3 suits players who like simple, fast games where every spin is resolved in a second. There are no free spins to wait for; the whole game is the moment the multiplier window stops. The Extra Bets switch adds a real choice: pay 50% more per spin for a chance at the 15x end of the reel.
