How we rate games

Every slot is scored on the same four criteria, using the game's published data: RTP (40%), maximum win potential (25%), bonus features described in our review (30%) and how recent the release is (5%). Our editors can adjust a score after playing the game. Missing data counts as neutral. The score reflects the game's numbers and features, not your chances of winning; slots are games of chance, so please play responsibly.

30 Coins Hold The Jackpot Overview

30 Coins Hold The Jackpot is a coin-collection slot from Wazdan, released by its VoltEnt brand on 8 April 2024. The name is the whole idea: the grid has 30 positions – five reels of six rows – and filling every one of them with bonus coins wins the Grand jackpot. SlotCatalog lists a 96.18% RTP (the game is offered in several RTP versions), high volatility, 30 paylines and a maximum win of 1,500x. Stakes run from 0.20 to 10,000.

The Four Jackpots

The jackpot ladder sits on the right of the reels. At a base bet of 5,000 FUN our screenshots show:

  • Mini: 50,000 – 10x the bet
  • Minor: 100,000 – 20x
  • Major: 250,000 – 50x
  • Grand: 7,500,000 – 1,500x

The Grand is exactly the published maximum win. The game’s own summary screen spells out how to get there: “Hold all 30 bonus symbols to get Grand Jackpot”. In other words, the jackpot is the ceiling – everything else in the game pays less than a completely filled board.

Chance Level

The column on the left is Wazdan’s Chance Level switch with four settings: OFF, x2, x5 and x10. Choosing a level multiplies the stake – with x2 active the total bet in our session was 10,000 against a 5,000 base – in exchange for a better chance of reaching the bonus. The jackpot plaques did not move when the level changed; they stayed tied to the base bet.

Buying the Hold the Jackpot Bonus

The shopping-cart button opens a five-tier bonus menu. At the 10,000 total bet shown, the prices were:

  • Low: 250,000
  • Standard: 375,000 – adds a Mystery chest to the starting board
  • High: 750,000
  • Extreme: 1,500,000 – with a Jackpot Mystery
  • Double Extreme: 3,000,000

That is 25x to 300x the total bet, each tier starting the round with more or better special symbols. In our demo only the Low and Standard tiers were lit at this setting; the three upper tiers were shown greyed out.

How the Bonus Game Works

The rules screen after the trigger explains the special symbols. A red Mystery chest opens into bonus coins; a green Jackpot Mystery chest reveals one of the jackpot symbols – Major (50x), Minor (20x) or Mini (10x). A collector coin in the middle of a group adds up the values of the coins around it. The round starts with 3 respins, and each new symbol that lands resets the counter.

Our bought round shows exactly that: a purple-framed collector coin worth 65,000, surrounded by coins of 5,000 and 10,000, with a Mystery chest waiting at the bottom of the grid and the respin counter back at 3.

What Our Rounds Showed

One board filled much of the upper half of the grid with coins of 5,000 to 20,000 plus a 100,000 coin, and the win meter read 265,000 – 26.5x the 10,000 total bet. Another round ended in a cascade of values on the win screen, with a Mini jackpot of 50,000 among them and dozens of 10,000 and 5,000 coins being counted up.

The Gamble

Wins can be taken to a Guess the Colour gamble: a face-down card between a red and a black button. In our screenshot a 530,000 win was offered at 1,060,000 for a correct guess, with a row of seven markers showing how many steps the ladder allows.

Graphics and Setting

The game is dressed in deep teal and gold, with an oriental coin theme: the reels sit inside a gold frame, the coins glow orange when they land, and the jackpot plaques are framed in red and violet. The 30 Coins logo on the right carries the “Hold the Jackpot” tagline.

More 30 Coins Games

Wazdan built a whole family on this board. The casinos we checked also carry Grand Gold, Halloween, Santa’s and Score the Jackpot editions. Our review of 30 Coins Grand Gold Edition covers the gold-themed version.

Who It Is For

30 Coins Hold The Jackpot is for players who enjoy a single, clear goal. The whole game is about the board: the Chance Level decides how often you get there, the bonus buy decides how well you start, and the 1,500x Grand is waiting for anyone who fills all thirty spaces. It is a high-volatility design, so long stretches between bonuses are part of the deal.
