How the 243 Ways Work

There are no fixed paylines. A win needs three or more matching symbols on adjacent reels, starting from the leftmost reel, and the symbol can sit in any row of each reel. With three rows on five reels that gives 3 x 3 x 3 x 3 x 3 = 243 possible routes. If the same symbol appears twice on one reel, every route through both positions pays, which is why stacked premiums and wilds on the middle reels are what the base game is really waiting for.
