Europe Transit is a road-trip slot from Evoplay, released on 25 July 2023. A lorry driver in a red cap and a fleet of heavy trucks roll across a 5x3 layout with 10 fixed paylines, set against a mountain lake and an Alpine village. The published figures are a 96% RTP (the game comes in several RTP versions), medium-high volatility, a hit frequency of 21.01% and a maximum win of 2,571x the bet. Stakes run from 0.10 to 500 per spin.

Four Reels and a Multiplier Reel

The most important thing about Europe Transit is not visible in the paytable at first glance: the fifth reel is not a normal reel. It sits in its own steel frame on the right, and instead of trucks and letters it carries multiplier boxes – the screenshots show x2 and x8 – along with dark, empty cubes. The rules describe one of its symbols simply as a symbol that “multiplies nothing”.

That explains why every entry in the paytable only lists three and four of a kind. Line wins are built on the first four reels, from left to right, and whatever lands on the fifth reel on that line multiplies the result. A blank cube leaves the win as it is; a multiplier box turns an ordinary line into something much bigger.

The Paytable

All values are coefficients of the bet, so they read the same at any stake. The trucks are the high-paying symbols, and they come in five colours:

  • Red and purple truck: 22x for four, 4.5x for three
  • Green truck: 12x for four, 2.2x for three
  • Blue and light blue truck: 10x for four, 2x for three
  • A and K: 4x for four, 1x for three
  • Q, J and 10: 2x for four, 0.5x for three

The top of the table is modest – four red or purple trucks pay 22 times the bet before any multiplier. The long tail of the game lives on the fifth reel, not in the symbol values.

Payout Rules

The rules screen spells out the basics: a winning combination is formed when identical symbols line up on a payline starting from the leftmost reel, the win equals the symbol’s coefficient multiplied by the bet, and only the highest win per line is paid. A bonus symbol combination is the exception – it counts regardless of its position on the reels, so bonus symbols do not need to sit on a payline.

The 10 Paylines

The payline diagram shows ten patterns across the grid: the three straight rows, two V shapes, and five zig-zag lines that step between the top and bottom rows.

What Our Rounds Showed

We played the demo at a stake of 100, and the screenshots let us check the maths line by line.

The first win was three Js on a line, with an x2 box on the multiplier reel. Three Js pay 0.5x, which is 50 at this stake; doubled, that is exactly the 100.00 the game displayed.

The second one was more interesting. The bottom row showed the red-capped driver, a K, another driver, and an x8 box on the fifth reel – and the game paid 800.00. Three Ks pay 1x, so 100 at this stake, and eight times that is 800. The numbers only work if the two driver portraits completed the K line, so the driver behaves as the wild symbol.

Free Spins

The bonus arrives with a full-screen panel: “You have won! 10 Free Spins”. The free spins run on the same grid with the same multiplier reel on the right. In our round the free spins ended on a big win screen of 2,100.00 at the 100 stake – 21x the bet – with x2 boxes still visible on the fifth reel behind the celebration.

Graphics and Setting

The reels sit in a brushed-steel frame under a chrome EUROPE TRANSIT logo, with a road winding past pine trees, a lake and a village behind them. The trucks are modern European cab-over tractors, each colour with its own chrome grille. Even the big win screen stays on theme: a truck speedometer with a fuel gauge, the needle climbing towards the red zone while gold coins pour across the screen.

The Other Europe Transit Games

Europe Transit became a small series. The casinos we checked also list a separate Europe Transit Bonus Buy edition, and a winter follow-up, Europe Transit Snowdrift, arrived on 26 December 2024 with 20 paylines, a 96.18% RTP and a much lower 646x ceiling. The original keeps the higher 2,571x maximum and the leaner ten-line layout.

More From Evoplay

Evoplay’s recent catalogue leans towards coin and jackpot mechanics – Olympus Gold Rush is a pure coin board, and Wealth Bells 40 is a forty-line fruit machine with a jackpot ladder.

Who It Is For

Europe Transit suits players who like a clean, readable slot where one mechanic does the heavy lifting. The paytable is short and modest, ten lines keep the base game quiet, and the whole game turns on the question of what lands on the fifth reel. With a 21% hit frequency, medium-high volatility and a 2,571x top prize, it is a steady ride with the occasional sharp acceleration. All six casinos we checked carry it.
