Mines Grand Overview

Mines Grand is not a slot. It is a Mines game from TaDa Gaming – a 5×5 grid of tiles, some of which are safe and some of which end the round – with a 97% RTP, medium volatility and a maximum win of 10,000x the bet. It was released on 26 May 2025.

There are no reels, no paylines and no symbols to match. Every decision in the game is which tile to turn over next, and when to stop. All figures below were read from demo play at a 20 bet with 3 mines selected.

How a Round Works

The board is twenty-five tiles. You choose how many of them are mines before you start – the captures have it set to 3 – leaving 22 safe tiles.

A counter beside the bowls at the top of the screen shows exactly how many safe tiles remain, and it ticks down as you play: the captures catch it at 22, then 17, then 16, then 10. On the other side sits a second counter showing the mine count, fixed at 3. Each safe tile advances the multiplier; hit a mine and the round ends with nothing.

The Multiplier Ladder

A horizontal strip runs above the grid showing the ladder, with the current step highlighted and the neighbouring values visible either side. It is the clearest presentation of a Mines ladder we have come across.

Early on it reads 1.07x, 1.2x, 1.34x, 1.53x, 1.75x, 2.0x. A few tiles later: 3x, 1.75x, 2.03x, 2.38x, 2.83x, 3.4x. Deeper still: 6.55x, 8.48x, 11.28x, 15.48x, 22.09x.

The climb is not linear. The first few tiles add a few percent each; by the tenth the steps are worth several times the stake. That is the whole tension of the format expressed as a number you can read before you commit.

The Arithmetic Is Exact

The payout checks against the ladder to the penny. At 1.75x on a 20 bet the win field reads 35. At 2.03x it reads 40.6, shown in a red cash-out panel over the middle of the board and confirmed in the bar underneath as WIN :40.6 – and the balance moves from 1,984.20 to 2,024.80.

Automatic Mode

This is what separates Mines Grand from the dozens of other Mines games. An Automatic panel lets you pre-select the tiles you want opened – the grid dims and a Selection prompt appears over it – and then run that same pattern repeatedly without touching the board again.

The controls underneath are the interesting part: Number of mines in a single game, Total rounds with presets at 50, 100, 200, 500 and 999, and two thresholds – Stop if balance < set to 1,000 and Stop if balance > set to 3,000. That is a stop-loss and a stop-win set against the balance rather than a round count – closer to running a strategy than to playing a game.

Four Jackpots, Two of Them Live

Four meters sit across the top of the screen. MINOR reads 400.00 and MINI reads 100.00 in every capture – fixed at 20x and 5x the stake.

The GRAND and MAJOR behave differently. Across the session the GRAND reads 38,765.37, then 39,123.97, 39,446.39 and 40,119.99; the MAJOR runs 3,474.24, 3,506.43, 3,535.52 and 3,596.68.

Both climb steadily as the game is played, which makes them genuine progressive pools rather than bet multiples. What they are worth depends entirely on when you arrive – the GRAND gained better than a thousand across a short session.

Theme and Graphics

The board is played in portrait against a deep red field, with the tiles rendered as textured red squares that flip to reveal gold coins stamped with a Chinese character.

Two ornate bowls sit under the jackpot meters – one blue, one gold, both heaped with coins – and the counters for safe tiles and mines flank them. There is no scenery and no character; the game is a grid and a ladder.

The Interface

The bar along the foot carries four controls: Bet 20, Mines 3, a cash-out button and a refresh control, with Balance and WIN printed above them, and a small cog against the left edge of the grid for the automatic panel.

Who Should Play It

Mines Grand suits players who want to make the decisions themselves and see the arithmetic while they do it. A 97% RTP is excellent, the ladder is printed above the board rather than hidden in a help screen, and the automatic mode with its two balance thresholds is a genuinely well-built piece of tooling.

What it is not is a game with anything to watch. There is no bonus round, no free spins and no animation beyond a tile turning over – and the two progressive meters are the only part of the screen you do not control.
