Dystopia Overview

Dystopia is a dark-fantasy fighting slot from Eurasian Gaming, released on 22 October 2024. It uses 5 reels and 3 rows with 243 ways to win – the game itself confirms this with a “Betting on 243 win ways” message – and SlotCatalog lists a betting range from 0.15 to 90. The features are free spins, a Power Play menu with a Buy Bonus and a Fast-Play option, and a risk game listed by SlotCatalog.

Neither the provider nor SlotCatalog publishes an RTP, a volatility rating or a maximum win for Dystopia, so we leave those figures out.

Eurasian Gaming’s demos cannot be embedded on third-party sites, so there is no playable demo on this page. All figures below come from our own session, played at 1.00 per way and a total bet of 15.00.

A World Under a Red Sky

The reels stand in a spiked metal frame under a blood-red sky, with a black sun setting behind the logo and a katana laid beneath the title in the promo art. The look is anime-style: sharp lines, heavy shadows and bright highlights on the characters.

The five premium symbols are the fighters themselves: a silver-haired swordswoman, a scarred warrior in a red cape, a pink-haired witch with a spellbook, a green-haired demon woman and a hooded dark knight. The low symbols are metallic A, K, Q and J letters.

How the 243 Ways Work

A symbol pays when it lands on adjacent reels starting from reel one, in any row. Every combination of positions counts as a separate way, so two matching symbols on the same reel double the number of paying ways.

The stake is set as a bet per way, and the total bet is 15 times that figure – 1.00 per way gave our 15.00 stake. The paytable is shown in the same currency and scales with it.

The Paytable

At 1.00 per way the swordswoman is the clear top symbol: 500 for five, 100 for four and 50 for three. Five of her on one way are worth about 33x the total bet. The warrior pays 100, 50 and 25, the witch and the demon woman 80, 40 and 20 each, and the dark knight 60, 30 and 15.

Among the letters, the A and K pay 50, 20 and 10, while the Q and J pay 40, 10 and 5. The drop from the swordswoman to the next symbol is steep, so most of the base game’s value rests on her and on multi-way hits.

What the Values Mean in Multiples

Because the total bet is 15 units, the paytable is easier to judge in multiples. Five warriors pay about 6.7x the stake, five witches or demon women 5.3x and five dark knights 4x, while five As or Ks return 3.3x. Three of a kind on a single way pays only a fraction of the bet, from a third of the stake for the letters to about 3.3x for the swordswoman.

In practice, the 243-ways engine often pays the same symbol on several ways at once, so the amount credited per spin is regularly higher than a single entry in the table.

Wilds

The wild is a sword symbol marked WILD, and it substitutes for the regular symbols. In one of our spins it joined a row of Js and turned a small line into a 160.00 win, over 10x the stake. The provider’s own description also promises “Giant Sword” features, which did not appear in our captures.

The Free Spins

The scatter shows a lone swordsman standing on a hill against a purple sky. In our captures the scatters landed on the middle reels, and three of them triggered the round with a “8 Freespins!” banner.

The trigger screen fills the reels with an explosion of light behind the number, and the message bar at the bottom congratulates you on the free spins. Before that moment the characters simply stand in their frames, so the switch to the bonus is hard to miss.

Power Play: Buy Bonus and Fast Play

The Buy-Bonus Feature cost 495.00 at our 15.00 stake, which is 33x, and grants the bonus right after the next spin. The price is also shown permanently in a Buy Feature panel beside the reels.

The Fast-Play Feature plays a chosen number of rounds automatically – the selector was set to 100 in our capture – and shows the combined result, stopping when a bonus is triggered so you can play it yourself. SlotCatalog also lists a risk game for gambling your wins.

Characters and Story

The provider frames Dystopia as a brutal beat-’em-up in an unfair, suffering world, where you fight your way through with powerful skills and memorable weapons, cutting down enemies to move from dystopia towards utopia. The promo art shows the witch, the warrior and the demon woman side by side above a katana, and the same characters fill the reels.

The story is kept light on the reels themselves: there are no cut-scenes in our captures, just character symbols, heavy sound effects and bold banners for the bigger moments.

Who Will Enjoy It

Dystopia suits players who like anime-style art and a straightforward 243-ways game with one clear bonus. The steep gap between the swordswoman and the rest of the symbols, together with the relatively cheap 33x bonus buy, makes it a game where the free spins and the top symbol carry most of the potential.

Our Session in Numbers

Most base-game wins in our session were small, from 40.00 for a J combination to 80.00 for Qs, with the wild-supported 160.00 as the best regular hit. The largest amount on screen was a 690.00 win, 46x the stake, which the game reported as paid while we were reading the info pages.
