Crimson Crown Overview

Crimson Crown is an Evoplay fruit machine with five reels, three rows and just five fixed paylines – and a bonus game so elaborate that the line play is almost incidental. The rules describe seven regular symbols, a wild, two different bonus symbols and a feature round that can fill all fifteen positions on the grid with gold coins.

The numbers make the priority obvious. The best line result in the game is 50x the bet. The Grand jackpot is 5,000x. Everything worth having happens in the bonus.

Theme and Graphics

The screen is a deep crimson field lit from above by an enormous golden crown that spills coins down onto the reel frame. The frame itself is edged in fire, and it brightens whenever a win lands. Down the left side the four jackpot amounts are stacked in coloured plates – Grand in red, Major in green, Minor in blue, Mini in pink – with a Bonus Buy button underneath.

The symbols are classic fruits rendered in glossy three dimensions: watermelon, grapes, orange, lemon, plum and cherries, with a jewelled crown at the top of the table and a triple seven serving as the wild.

Reels, Paylines and the Wild

Five reels, three rows, five fixed lines, paying from the leftmost reel rightwards. All figures below come from demo play at a 50.00 bet, and the paytable is quoted directly in multipliers of the bet, which makes it unusually easy to read.

The wild is worth a close look, because the rules impose a restriction that is easy to miss: it appears only on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5. Reel one never carries a wild. Since every win has to start on reel one, that means the wild can extend a combination but can never begin one – and it does not substitute for either bonus symbol.

Symbols and Paytable

The crown leads at x50 for five, x10 for four and x4 for three. The watermelon and the grapes share the next tier at x25 / x7.5 / x2.5, and the four remaining fruits – orange, lemon, plum and cherries – are all identical at x10 / x3 / x1.

The demo bears it out: three watermelons on the 50.00 bet returned exactly 125.00, which is the x2.5 the table promises, and a pair of stacked seven wilds carried a line to 100.00.

Bonus Symbols and the Diamond Coin

There are two kinds of bonus symbol and they work very differently. The ordinary bonus coin carries a random value of x1, x2, x3, x4, x5, x6, x7 or x10 the bet, printed on its face in cash – on the 50.00 stake the demo shows coins reading 50, 100 and 150. Crucially, the rules state that these values pay only in the Bonus game. A bonus coin landing in the base game is a ticket, not a prize.

The Diamond Coin carries no amount at all. In the main game it simply counts towards triggering the feature – but inside the bonus it becomes the most valuable thing on the grid, because each Diamond Coin collects all the values and jackpots of every bonus symbol that has landed.

Coin Rush

This is the game's best idea. On any spin that produces no winning combination, if there is at least one bonus symbol somewhere on the reels, there is a chance that seven or more bonus symbols with random values suddenly appear in random positions and the bonus game begins.

In other words, a dead spin with a single stray coin on it can turn into the feature. It is a rescue mechanic built specifically for the spins that would otherwise be wasted, and on a five-payline game with a lot of blank results, that is where most spins live.

The Bonus Game and the Four Jackpots

Six or more bonus symbols trigger the round. The regular symbols fade away, the reels are replaced with special ones carrying only bonus coins and blanks, and everything that lands stays put until the end. You start with three spins and every new coin resets the counter back to three; the round ends when the spins run out or when all fifteen positions are full.

Four fixed jackpots can be won, and only here: Grand 5,000x, Major 150x, Minor 50x and Mini 25x the bet. At the 50.00 stake the plates read 250,000.00, 7,500.00, 2,500.00 and 1,250.00. Mini, Minor, Major and Grand bonus symbols award their corresponding jackpots directly – and the rules add one more route: collect all fifteen bonus symbols of any type and the Grand is yours. Filling the grid is the jackpot.

Bonus Buy, RTP and Max Win

The Bonus Buy costs 28x the total bet and delivers a spin producing six bonus symbols with random values. That price deserves emphasis: 28x is cheap by any modern standard – most buy features on games with a five-figure jackpot ask 75x or 100x – and it buys entry to the only part of the game where the jackpots exist. The rules note it may be unavailable in some markets and cannot be used from inside the bonus.

The RTP is 95.93%, volatility is rated High, and the maximum win is 10,000x the bet. Set that against the Grand at 5,000x and something interesting emerges: the top jackpot is only half the ceiling. Reaching the maximum means filling the grid with high-value coins and having a Diamond Coin sweep them, not simply landing the Grand – which is why the Diamond Coin, the symbol with no number on it, is the one to watch.
