Big Bounty Bill BoomBoom Overview

Big Bounty Bill BoomBoom is a western slot from Kalamba Games, launched on 17 August 2023 according to Kalamba’s official game portfolio. It is a remastered edition of the studio’s 2019 hit Big Bounty Bill: the same bounty hunter, the same retro-futurist Wild West town and the same expanding grid, now with a new gamble feature called BoomBoom. Kalamba rates the volatility at 9 out of 10, lists a hit frequency of 27% and a maximum coinciding win of 5,000x the bet.

An Expanding Ways Grid

The game runs on five reels that grow in height. At the start the grid is 5x4 with 1,024 ways, and the maximum layout is 5x7, which gives 16,807 ways – that is the figure Kalamba lists for the game. The ways counter in the top left corner of our screenshots shows the grid at several stages: 1,024, 2,000, 2,500 and, in the base game, 6,480.

Above each reel sits a small accumulator with a number. The feature screen explains the idea in two lines: “Shoot accumulators and get extra spins!” and “Collect expansion symbols to expand columns!” Kalamba lists “persistence in base game” among the features, so the expanded reels do not simply reset after one spin – the 6,480-ways grid we saw in the base game is proof of that.

Symbols

The high-paying symbols are the outlaws Bill is chasing – masked bandits in black hats and bandanas – along with a cowgirl, a rifle and a revolver. The low-paying symbols are the card ranks A, K, Q, J, 10 and 9, drawn as weathered wooden letters. A WILD plank substitutes on the reels, and Kalamba lists special wilds and an in-game cashpot among the game’s features.

The new feature of this edition appears after a win. A revolver cylinder with six chambers is shown, some of them gold, and the player can collect or gamble. In our screenshot the result was a “Gold Chambers Win”: collect 3,480 FUN or gamble to 6,960 FUN – exactly double. Three diamond markers sit under the gamble amount.

The same choice appeared in the base game: a win of 1,230 FUN – about 13.7x the 90 FUN bet, on a 6,480-ways grid – came with Collect and Gamble buttons side by side.
