40 Lucky Sevens Overview

40 Lucky Sevens is a fruit slot from GameArt, released on 6 June 2023. It uses a 5x4 grid with 40 fixed paylines - the number 40 is shown on plaques at both ends of the reels. GameArt's demo configuration gives an RTP of 96.12% and a maximum win of 2,700x the bet, the same figures SlotCatalog publishes. SlotCatalog rates the volatility as low-medium and lists stakes from 0.40 to 200 per spin.

The Reels and the Symbols

The symbols are the familiar fruit set: cherries, lemons, oranges, plums, grapes, watermelons and apples. On top of those come three special symbols in framed tiles - a green dollar sign, a four-leaf clover and a golden star - and the red lucky 7. The background is a green diamond pattern, and the 40 Lucky Sevens logo sits in gold and green above the reels.

The Expanding 7

The 7 is the game's wild, and it expands to fill its entire reel. On a four-row grid that means one 7 becomes four wild positions in a column. In our screenshots the full 7 reels appeared on reels 2, 3 and 4, the middle of the grid, where they connect the most of the 40 lines.

What the Wild Reels Paid

All the wins below were recorded at a $12 bet:

  • A single full 7 reel on reel 2, combined with cherries on the first reel, paid $72 - 6x the stake.
  • Three full 7 reels on reels 2, 3 and 4, with cherries on reel 1 and oranges on reel 5, produced a Big Win of $508.62 - 42.4x.

With three wild reels in the middle, almost every one of the 40 lines needs only a match on the outer reels, which is why that screen paid so much more than a single wild reel.

The Star Wins

The golden star pays on its own as well. Two of our spins show stars forming several winning lines across the first reels: one paid $22.84 and another $60.76 at the $12 bet, with the win lines drawn across the whole grid. The star appears stacked, so it can cover several positions of a reel at once.

The Dollar and Clover Symbols

The green dollar sign and the four-leaf clover appear in their own framed tiles, set apart from the fruit. SlotCatalog lists scatter symbols among the features, and these framed symbols are the obvious candidates. Our screenshots do not show them paying on their own, so we cannot say what they are worth.

The Gamble Feature

Every win can be taken to the card gamble. On a $24 win the screen offered:

  • Red or black at x2 - $48.
  • The suit at x4 - $96.

The game allowed five gambles in a row, and Collect ends the gamble and keeps the current win.

Where the 2,700x Comes From

40 Lucky Sevens has no jackpot tiers and no free spins round. The top prize therefore has to come from the line wins: a grid with the middle reels wild and the best symbol on the outer reels, paying across all 40 lines. Our 42x win with three wild reels and ordinary fruit shows the direction; the 2,700x maximum is the same idea with the highest-paying symbols.

Stakes, Lines and RTP Versions

The bet ranges from 0.40 to 200 per spin, so the 2,700x maximum is worth up to 540,000 on the top stake. With 40 lines, each line takes a fortieth of the bet: at $12 that is $0.30 per line. Seen that way, the $72 win with one wild reel is 240 line bets, and the $508.62 Big Win is almost 1,700 line bets spread across the grid.

SlotCatalog marks the game with RTP ranges. The 96.12% figure comes from the demo configuration and SlotCatalog's listing; casinos may run a different version, so check the game's info screen before you play.

A Note on Volatility

A low-medium volatility rating fits what the screenshots show: frequent small line wins from the fruit and stars, with occasional larger hits when the expanding 7s line up on the middle reels. There is no free spins round to trigger and no buy option, so the balance moves in small steps most of the time, with the three-wild-reel screens providing the peaks.

Graphics and Interface

The design is bright and clean: glossy fruit, a heavy red 7 with a gold outline, and a golden glow across the reels when a big win lands. The controls at the bottom show bet, win and balance, with a lightning button for quick spins. The starting stake in the demo was $1.20, and our wins were recorded at $12.

40 Lucky Sevens vs 5 Lucky Sevens

GameArt's 5 Lucky Sevens uses the same expanding-7 idea on a 5x3 grid with five lines, a 1,951x ceiling and a 7x respin buy. The 40-line version trades the buy option for more lines and a higher 2,700x top prize. The family also includes 10 Lucky Sevens and 100 Lucky Sevens.

Who It Is For

40 Lucky Sevens suits players who like classic fruit machines with more lines and steadier action. Low-medium volatility and 40 lines mean frequent small wins, while the expanding 7s on the middle reels provide the bigger moments. It has no bonus round to wait for - everything happens in the base game, with a card gamble available after every win.
